Depends on why he was a 5star. He was a 5star based upon his athleticism and potential. And guess what, some 5stars are bust. You should know that.

Naw. Kid did what is best for him. That's what it is all about anyway. I'm sure UA will be just fine in relation to its LB corps.

Kid did what was easiest for himself with the most latitude off the field. If he's not careful he'll never reach his potential.

BVG can't coach?

Au's defense gets a gift of a performance by LSUs offense and all the Au fans are back to sucking off BVG. As bad as LSUs offense played they still got almost 400 yards and they left a lot points off the board by turnovers and penalties. Au defense did play better than the 3. Other abortion of performances prior but LSUs own mistakes had a lot to do with it plus let them play decent a few games in a row.

I don't really recall seeing anyone down on BVG.

I take it you're one of those guys that thinks it's impossible for Saban to ever leave

Of course, I am not. You comparing the situations is special though. You and I both know it.

quote:

Does it matter how I felt about the staff staying intact? I don't hire or fire anyone from Auburn. If I had it my way, BVG would be there next year no matter what happened with the staff.

So, you're acknowledging unease. That is different than Saban's situation, wouldn't you agree. (Please see above)

quote:

Oh, you know, if you'd watch Auburn defense, you'd notice that you don't typically play play unless you know the defense. Do I need to mention that Erique Florence and Robenson Therezie saw their first action this year against LSU? Or that Ashton Richardson saw time at MLB before Cass McKinzy

By watching AU's D, you'd notice that sometimes guys who drop jaws with the tape don't get on the field...preventing them from being the savior of a program.

quote:

Yeah, impossible for him to have trouble grasping a NFL level defense after missing his freshman season anyway

Frost can't learn while hurt?

quote:

My God, this is pathetic. Nobody called him a program savior

Ehhh.."if it was him instead of Holland out there" has been mentioned once or twice.

quote:

You're so pissed about the Foster flip you can't stand it.

Already covered.

Right, a gift. fricking pathetic that you can't admit to BVG preparing the guys for a game. He's going all this with a garbage set of linebackers and trying to change the culture of the defense in terms of discipline.

Au fans are back to sucking off BVG
Yeah, he sucks, man.
quote:

Yeah, Auburn's defense had nothing to do with them looking bad at JHS. And WTF does it matter how many yards they gained? Is that the stats to decide who wins and loses now?
quote:

We allowed less points to State, Clemson, and LSU this year vs last year. Improvement.
quote:

but LSUs own mistakes had a lot to do with it
LOL, OK, buddy.

And the only reason Alabama has looked good on defense is because you haven't faced a legit offense. Sounds dumb, doesn't it? Western Kentucky, FAU, Arky without Wilson, and a 2-2 Michigan team.

The highlight reel of that Florida State kid a few years ago comes to mind. Looked all-world and then nothing. But the right coaching and environment and at least there will be a chance to squeeze that talent out of them and get them to the next level.

Nah, Chizik isn't going anywhere with a 7.5 million dollar buyout.

They just hadn't learned the defense well enough, had been in the doghouse, and had faced other things outside the football field. Has nothing to do with them eventually being a bust.

Frost can't learn while hurt?
Did you play any organized sports growing up? It's much easier to learn on the field while actually doing it. Besides, there's a huge difference in Roof's defense and BVG's.

No, you're absolutely right on Owens, and I think you're right on Frost. I have my doubts with Holland, though...

Auburn nor BVG have ever put a LB in the NFL.

One is much more likely. Can you guess which one and how that will be used in recruiting?

Full contact checkers..made County 3 times.

You know that a ton of fluid has been lost to the thought of him at MLB right now.

I'm sure Nick Saban has already used it with his negative recruiting approach.

Should've been an All-American.

A ton of fluid was lost when he committed to Alabama, too.
