2. Did my best to keep Palooza's azz outta jail for 3 years during college (tried to at least)

Howdy Ags,

Class of 06'. I'm 31 and grew up in Lufkin. My wife and I just moved back to College Station after spending the last 5 years in Houston, to start a family in a good safe town. I currently work for TAMU. I have season tickets and am glad to be in the SEC.

As of right now, just high school history. Here in about a week, I'll be taking the social studies teXes test.. Should pass it pretty easily, these tests are simple enough I haven't had to study at all to pass them haha And I'm no genius.
TexMariner- nope, his initials are MB.. Haha what's the name of the band you're talking about?

Class of '92. It appears I'm one of the few elders here. sounds weird at only 42, but it is what it is youngsters. enjoy your time at school, and good luck to the newbies to the work force. it's only going to get easier if you put in the effort.

dad - '65
sister - '96
bro in law - '94
cousin - '90

Thanks for the invite. Are you planning on attending the game at BDS this year? I cannot, but am already making plans to attend the game in 2 years. It would be cool to plan a big Aggie meet & greet.

Virginia Beach, VA now, so I can't always go see the home games. I'm looking forward to visiting all the schools for the away games. I gotta feel the excitement at these stadiums.

Married a girl from Florida, and she is a big time Gator fan. She despises Tennessee & Half arse U. We get along well.

I am highly jealous of everyone who has graduated from ITT...at least until I join that group myself

My background:
24, born & raised in Baton Rouge to almost all of my family supporting LSU...except for my grandfather (mom's side). He was from Alabama, and although not a huge football fan, supported the Tide (his cousin actually wrote the fight song, Yea' Alabama). Seeing as how we were close and I hated being told I HAD to cheer for LSU, I decided to become a Bama fan early on in life. Went to school @ Southeastern Louisiana Univ. (only decent thing about this state besides the food is the TOPS scholarship) actually made it through in 4 years, Dec. 2010.

Fast forward to Summer 2012; working in the family business in Baton Rouge, hating life here. Not utilizing my major (criminal justice) b/c A)Police had a hiring freeze in the state for a long time after graduation and B)I decided I really don't enjoy the idea of going to law school as much as I once did. I decide to go back to school and major in something I really do love (Exercise Physiology) and was set on going to Bama, even with the expensive out of state tuition. On my way to Dallas for the Bama/Michigan game a few weeks ago, I decided to make a detour in College Station to check out A&M...

Turns out, that might've been the best decision I ever made. Went out as a complete stranger on a Thursday night in Northgate, meet a ton of nice people and I loved the area. Toured the campus on Friday and got the scoop on the Corps of Cadets (which I am considering joining despite the flack they catch on the internet) and I fell in love with the place. It was exactly what I was looking for in a campus and city, and seriously, Aggies really are the nicest people I've encountered in the SEC so far. I now plan on enrolling there next spring or fall and becoming part of the Aggie family (though I'm not sure how my support for Alabama will be accepted around there )

Welcome to the Aggie family, BamaMan! Weird, I'm 24 as well (1988 ftw ). Don't worry, I think there are enough Bama/A&M connections (the Bear, Stallings, unfortunately Franchione) to where you won't find too much vitriol for supporting the Tide. Bama was my third favorite team growing up. Rooted for my parents' alma maters (A&M and Michigan) first, but I was born in Montgomery so Bama was always my favorite SEC team. Excited beyond belief to play them annually, and imma make it my life's work to see a Bama/A&M game at Kyle and BDS.

Whether or not you join the military, I recommend it. As I'm sure you know by this point, about 97% percent of what you read/see about the Corps on message boards (including TexAgs, if you visit that site) is utter bullshite. My dad was in the Corps in the early 80s, and I went through from the mid to the late 2000s. Not saying there isn't crazy stuff that goes on (hey, it's college), but the over the top gay stuff is pretty nonexistent IMO. Nobody even knows what "squeezing" or the "jizz jar" is unless they read message boards. The best thing I got out of the Corps was a group of buddies whose backs I'd have any day of the week, and I know they'd go to war with me--literally and figuratively--any day. And the kicker is, I met my wife in the Corps, too, and I don't marry no uglies so there's another myth dispelled

Anyways, sorry for the rant, but glad you liked what you saw in Aggieland and hope you make it to campus (and maybe the Quad) in the near future!

Howdy,
Class of '12 Computer science major here graduating in may of '13, engaged to a girl who went to the same high school as me and is also graduating a year late in '13 in animal science.

My mom worked for the university so I was raised on A&M and went to a lot of sporting events as a kid (basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, etc.) gen adm tickets used to be dirt cheap - free.

played football at consol for coach slaughter, p.s. tbird, I probably know you or people that you know, cuz i knew a lot of football and track athletes from Bryan.

love Texas A&M and didn't apply anywhere else, was going to Blinn if i didn't get in. Depending on where my job takes me, I would love to have a large family of Aggies

Possibly--my folks moved around a lot and my sibs were all homeschooled, but a LOT of my dad's former Bryan High classmates have kids that are Vikings now so yeah

Good luck to you and your fiancee graduating soon!
