I follow Ben Garrett on Twitter, reporter for the Spirit, he's reporting from Freeze's press conference and tweets that Sawyer is moving to Corner, and Elston will take his place at Safety. What does everyone think of this? Our corner play was awful Saturday, I think it will be a definite improvement, and Elston has done well and may be too good to keep off the field.

We need to do something. #1 was getting picked on all night.

Sounds like a good move if we don't do something we are not going have any big plays on Def side of the ball..

Love it. Sawyer is a true corner.

I could have done as well as Pendleton Saturday night. He was a joke.

Is that who #1 was? Who ever it was made me regret saying Marcus Temple was our worst cover corner ever.

Completely agree.... he was getting trucked time and time again saturday night when he came in to try and stop run.

I think things may have been better vs. Ut if Sawyer could have been on Mike Davis all night IMO

Our DLine being so tiny is going to put a ton of pressure on our secondary(which also is undersized)

I wonder if maybe because our DLine is so small we should pretty much just concede the run game to teams like Tejas,LSU,BAMA and sit on the pass and not get beat over the top like we did multiple times.

The reason the reverse worked so well as well is because everyone came up and bit on the run. It may be our best bet to keep the games more competitive.

not saying you are not right but if we are already getting run on like that and decide to concede the run then i hate to see what its going to look like then

It's really pick what you want to stop. Most teams we play will put up a lot of yards regardless of what we pick to stop.

We are going to get shredded by Bama, LSU and UGA. We should be able to score and compete against the rest of our schedule besides them but we need some serious help on D. We are tiny and slow.

Yeah, 1 is Collins. And I forgot his name, but there was a freshman corner, number 23, who constantly got burned in the second half.

Standifier... he's one of the true freshmen that have been getting a lot of playing time and her really doesn't need to be out there. I think if we can line up Sawyers on one side with Senquez on the other then Prewitt and Elston as the safetys that will put us in better shape.

Didn't want to make another thread, but heard that CJ practiced today at LB. To me that means Channing is learning the defense after starting late. I think that's an improvement on everything. Channing isn't much of a talent drop if at all, and Marry, Nkemdiche and Johnson at LB sounds fair if it all works out. Obvious Freeze is doing a lot of shuffling, hopefully he'll find a solution soon.

CJ has to play MLB because DN is a safety
