LSU has great defensive line...very good OL and very good rbs....but Florida has several things going for it:
home field
great defense (remember 15 out of top tacklers return from 2011 squad...thats HUGE..ask UT..we shut them down...their passing attack was negated by very skilled dbs who covered their wrs like white on rice. LSU will run the ball and run some more...true SEC style..this will be a slobberknocker...pads a popping.
OL that has depth and a lot of talent..we sub some of our OL..especially OTs and keep fresh legs
RBs that are versatile and Gillislee...while not a huge back, has quick bursts and his vision is very very good...our FB and TE blocking has been very good and the OC is opening up the playbook for a future AA qb...Driskel who can run like a deer and has bulk to escape would be tacklers.
WRs are much improved and Hammond has shown he is a weapon that needs covering or risk easy six.
Jordan Reed is a fantastic pass receiver at TE.
Special teams is just that.,..Christy boomed punts against UT when we were always in poor field position and actually is a key reason we won. Sturgis is an ATM machine giving up 50 yd FGs

"UF after playing UK, has a bye.
Two weeks to get ready for LSU. That is huge."

We play Towson State before UF.....scrimmage > bye

Yall beat an above average Tennessee team, and all the sudden you think you can hang with the big boys. Don't give your hopes up, if yall score more than 10, I will be a little shocked.

42-10 LSU

You could be right about holding UF to 10, but I doubt LSU will be putting up 42 against their defense.

Yes, however unlikely.

Should be a good game for about a half, IMO.

It's very ironic that Florida guy spent pages and pages of this thread talking about arrogance. Nothing said arrogance like the Steve Spurrier years of the 90's. Nothing said arrogant fan base like Florida football in the 90's. I'll never forget going to the swamp and their fans would kind of just laugh at us for having the audacity to make the trip in the first place. How about Spurrier running up the score so many times. Yea if anybody would know arrogance back in the day in CFB it would be the Florida program and it's fans.

We definately owe you a couple more arse kickings before we get close to making up for what ya'll use to do to us in the 90's. Don't think for a second we have forgotten those years.

I never laughed at LSU fans. I never saw anyone laughing I LSU fans. I did see Spurrier call ball plays.

Sorry you were treated so poorly.

I highly doubt UF upsets LSU, but it certainly possible. Wouldn't be an upset unless it was unlikely.

Oh I could care less and it goes with the territory, i just found it funny to hear that guy going on and on about arrogance when that's exactly the word I would use when I thought of Florida football in the 90's. Not saying it wasn't well deserved. They were awesome. It's funny to think about how I guess the roles are apparently reversed a bit.

Why is a scrimmage greater than a bye?

Yeah you play Towson St but your players still have to take the field. Get hit by other players and all.

I can see you saying that playing them is LIKE a bye. But it isn't better than a bye.

But I think UF wins. After this week playing a weak UK will only build Driskels confidence and I think he has the talent set to be great he just isn't fully confident yet but it's getting there. He makes the best plays when his instincts take over and trust me it will have to happen against LSU.

UF wins one of the hardest hitting games of the season.

Gators 24-13

I think that if LSU has an off day and Florida continues to improve, there could be an upset. If LSU plays to their potential, it would be unlikely. Florida is clearly better than they were last year.
I am in this camp. I think many things would need to go wrong for LSU.

Hell- Why only 24-13? Treat yourself!

Take it out on the Tigers- make it 41-11. We aren't the team we were last year.

Yes.

If UF can stop the run they will upset LSU. UF has to continue to improve, but the 11 on 11 is a very close match-up. LSU is deeper but Florida has talent.

Way to many tards on this board think LSU will roll over UF.
Probably the same tards that said Bray and UT would beat the Gators.

Exactly. We're no better than Tennessee- or Arkansas.

Which is why Bama should have an easy time Nov 3rd.
