So if Bama beats LSU this year....will that make it 4 of the last 6? Am I right? 5-peat on the way.

Your original point about the 2008 UF game was you were winning with under four minutes to go. I show you the last time you had the lead there was more than 9 minutes remaining and you reply with thanks for proving your point?

Yes Bama held a 20-17 lead six minutes into the 4th qtr and trailed 24-20 until 2 minutes in the game when Wilson threw a desperation pass that went for a pick 6. If that pass goes for a TD, Bama wins 27-24. So I guess it was really 1 one play game, since that one play was potentially a 14 point swing. Thanks for showing me that game was even closer than I remembered.

On thing that is so fricking dumb about a thread like this is many other teams could say the same.
AU for example would have won 4 in a row from 1986-1989 if a few plays and one game went differently.
1986: Two losses (FSU and UGA) by a combined 5 points. 2 fgs in 1986 = NC for AU.
1987: One loss to UF. Win 1 game and NC.
1988: 1 point loss against LSU. Any of 3 4th down conversions fail and NC again.
1989: Score 1 more TD against UT in knoxville or Tallahassee and 4th straight NC for AU.
Lots of teams could play this game. Most just are not as dumb as some gumps to start hypo threads about it.

Pat Dye was a proven cheater in those days. So doesn't count.

we're it not for just a handful of plays the past few years.
2008-Undefeated regular season and ranked #1, had the lead with about 4 minutes to go in the 4th in the SECC game, and then collapsed on offense and defense. Had a facemask call that gave UF a new set of downs and they score a TD. Arenas fields a punt with his foot out of bounds giving the offense horrible field position. Literally a couple of plays away from playing and beating OU for the Title in 2008.
2009- BCS Champs
2010-Arguably the most talented team in Bama history. Walked into a buzz saw against USC, but lost late leads against both LSU and AU and lost by 4 points combined in those two games. We win those games, like we should have, we are 13-1 SEC Champs and beat Oregon in the Title game.
2011-BCS Champs
Bama is literally 4-5 plays away from being 4-time NC's heading into this season. Just a reminder to Bama fans to relish the moment, these are the golden years of our generation, soak it up and let's win another one this year!!!
Thanks, I will.

There was no pick 6. Are you sure you watched the game.

Just admit Bama is a hair away from a 5-peat.

So was Gene Stallings, even more so than Dye. So guess 1992 doesn't count either.
And Saban and what is currently going on at bama with buying recruits is worse than anything under Dye or Stallings, so guess bama is at zero. Congrats.
