fair enough...although Lsu had one more game to rack up the difference. Bama with more YPG, but it's splitting hairs

I could actually see Bama throwing more than last year and taking carries away from the RBs with a veteran QB. It could go either way though.

That is the most relevant stat since the OP asks about total rushing yards, but I can't help but include this as well:

Bama 214.5 ypg
LSU 202.6 ypg

Bama 5.49 ypc
LSU 4.80 ypc

That's great, and i'm sure it pleases you..

But the thread title is more rushing yards

LSU had more last year; I expect them to have more this year

Bama may have a new weapon in the running game this year, especially near the goal-line.

Another relevant point is the guy that got the lion's share of those yards for Bama is playing on Sunday now......whereas the guys that that got the yardage for LSU are still here.

True. It's also true that Bama's leading returning rusher has more career yards than any of LSU's backs.

You seem to take this stuff a little too personally.

Hey now, you're the one who went off topic--telling us about how bama had more ypc and ypg..then when that didn't satisfy you went on to try to impress us all by stating that Lacy has more yards than all other LSU backs combined. Seems like you're the one reaching

As if we had no clue it's a running back by committee at LSU

LSU played 1 more game and had 83 more carries for 48 more yards.

To be fair, because some teams only play 12 or 13 games, YPG is more accurate.

16. Alabama 13 games, 508 carries, 2788 yards, 214.46 YPG

22. LSU 14 games, 591 carries, 2836 yards, 202.57 YPG

Yards per game isn't off topic in a discussion about who will have the most total rushing yards. If Bama and LSU both average the same yards per game they did last year, then Bama will have the most rushing yards if they play the same number of games.

I never stated that Lacy had more yards than the LSU RBs combined, and I didn't bring him up for no reason. It was relevant to LSU316's post and he agreed.

Yet, you couldn't stop yourself from replying to both comments with attitude. No big deal, just seems like you're taking it personally when there's really no need to.

if bama was good enough to win the West, they would have gotten an extra game. Dont penalize LSU for being so good.

Bama was good enough to win the crystal on 1/9, that's really the bottom line. And the game wasn't even close. As Brent Musberger said, "this is a mauling folks." Grow up, grow a pair, and admit that Bama was the better team last year.
