It's the first game of the year for both schools. Considering that and the game is in Nashville (I guess they'll have a slight home field advantage), do any you think Vanderbilt has a legitimate shot at pulling off the upset?

I will be definitely tuned in. The way they played last year would certainly give them a chance if they continue that trend

I do. It's the first game of the year and crazy things happen on those Thursday night games, especially for road teams. I still think USCe wins a close one though.

South Carolina should take this one pretty easy. Last year's score (21-3) doesn't show just how lopsided this game was. Vandy only had 4 rushing yds and 73 passing yds for the game. Although, USCe did lose some of their top players on defense. I just don't think that'll matter that much.

Jordan Rodgers will need to play like his brother Aaron in order to pull off the upset...

Hopefully Carolina will be prepared for this game and not come out rusty like usual. It could be a close game, but im looking forward to a good one.
USC - 31
Vandy - 7

I'm pretty interested in how much more improved Vandy will be this year.
Remember, Vandy has given USCe problems before even with Spurrier coaching.
Plus, first game of the season...
I'm not a fan of either team, but I can't wait for this game to start

They seemed less disciplined last year. They had more energy, but I seem to remember they racked up more penalties than Bobby Johnson's team ever did against us.

I am hoping Vandy can pull off the upset, but I expect USCe by 2 TDs+.

not at all. I understand this isnt your fathers vandy team and their coach has them ready to play but at the end of the day its still Vanderbilt..

No chance Vanderbilt wins that game, they lost a lot off of last years team. They're going to take a step back.

Vandy definitely has a shot. SC will be the better team throughout the year but wouldn't be at all surprising to see rust and sloppy play in the first game of the year. And based on last season, Vandy shouldn't be a push over playing at home.

I dont think so. We thoroughly dominated the Los last year and I don't think it will be much different this year. They will hang around for a while probably.

You know, I said that in 2007. Said it again in 2008.
We can lose to Vandy...but we won't. USC by at least two touchdowns.
