That's my understanding. This was the method used on both endzone expansions and the Walk of Champions work.

Makes sense. This is pretty standard. The way the article was written implied that the bonds were being paid back by the state.

That article has a lot that's not accurate, according to what Mal Moore and Nick Saban said about the project at an alumni event.

State's is currently under construction. 80,000 square ft, 25 million, privately funded from the Bulldog Club.

Can't wait for it the be finished.

Congrats Bama, looks like a fine facility.

Bammers and Doodooleys need to shut up; do either of your schools have a practice field on top of a parking garage? Didn't think so. :flagshipoffacilities:

Am I missing something here? It's still in the state of ALABAMA, right? I don't care if it's the nicest building in the western hemisphere, it's in Alabama, so therefore it's shite.

The new facility is serves as a connector from one of our established athletic training buildings to another. Its essentially a fancy "hallway" that has a weight room, nutrition bar, etc. For those flaming this project, it is not the centerpiece of our athletic facilities, nor is it a big project. Sorry for breaking your heart. Im honestly surprised this even made news...Im guessing because its the offseason. Before this project, BAMA had the some of the absolute best facilities in the SEC. This can only help, not hurt. Yes I know other schools in the SEC have nice facilities too...but this project only serves as a connector from one building to another.

The project is expected to cost just short of $9.1 million and will be primarily funded from future revenue bonds. The Crimson Tide Foundation is providing $965,317.

Playing catch up to 7-5 every year? We'll continue to win NC's while you fap to WR's.
