So this opens it up for just about any major city that can support this game (hotel rooms, decent stadium). I can see the Rose Bowl possibly losing hosting the game. Unless LA doesnt want it in the Coliseum.. What other cities you think will possibly bid?
Also looks like we will prob see an outdoor game in the midwest/northeast with this scenario

With open bidding the Big Ten is going to lobby hard to get a Midwest city like Chicago or Indianapolis in the fold. It will suck, but they will get their turn.

You can bet ur arse the Big10 is gonna make sure Chicago gets the game soon.

As long as New Orleans is in the pile. Best city in the country for big football games.

But will it be a cap on how many times a city can host the game in so many years..

To bad Langford is in prison I am sure he would put Birmingham in the running.

Whoever is the higher ranked team let them play it in their own stadium until the championship game.
Can you imagine a home "playoff" game in Tiger Stadium. Sheeeet

Chicago would be turrible.
I can see Indy as they've hosted a Super Bowl. Minneapolis maybe but who knows if the roof is gonna collapse again. St. Louis also a possible.
But none of those towns are traditional bowl towns and I think B1G fans LOVE to GTFO out of the snow belt for some fun in the sun.
These aren't NFL fans. They don't want to go to an Ice Bowl in January. If you want that, buy Packers tickets. Michigan and Ohio State fans want to be playing in the Sun Belt in January.
