I dont think OC is a downgrade. Paul Petrino and Garrick McGee are both good imo.

i respect Paul Petrino as an OC. but i was really impressed with McGee after some of the behind the scenes stuff we all saw last year. Also, i think when you consider all the outside factors with Bobby P leaving, I think it will create an uncomfortable situation for the coaches. Now, im not saying that everyone on staff cant get along and work hard, but i think they are gonna take a few steps back in order for everyone to get on the same page again. they may not go all the way back to step 1, but there are gonna be some changes and some growing pains. I dont know if Arky can get all that worked out in time to play bama and beat them.

Also at this point, Saban's Alabama is all up in the heads of everyone involved in the Arky football program. There is gonna be a lot of people who are gonna be quietly wondering whether John L can get the job done against Saban.

Saban throws the game due to the Michigan State connection.

translation: after bama is up 30 and has knocked all the Arky Qbs out of the game, Saban will just hand the ball off and get pissed when bama's RBs continue to score points.

I posted this about a week ago and I stick to my prediction.
quote:

Saban was good against planning against Petrino, because Petrino was always rational and very smart. Saban would try to find weaknesses in his own defense and try to cover them up by exploiting our offensive weaknesses. It's easier to predict what somebody's going to do when they act rationally. JLS is not Petrino, and I predict he goes wildcard on Saban's arse. I'm talking crazy shite, like running the wishbone for a series then having DD Jones as RB. Saban loses it, AJ throws a pick, Saban bits out his jugular vein, cops arrest Saban before the end of the game, Hogs win. Book it.

The best swordsman in the world doesn't need to fear the second best swordsman in the world; no, the person for him to be afraid of is some ignorant antagonist who has never had a sword in his hand before; he doesn't do the thing he ought to do, and so the expert isn't prepared for him.

It is a bold strategy to go with stupidity and awkwardness. Good luck to you, good sir.

This year will be their best shot they've had in a while. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they pulled the upset this year.

Yep. If they have another 2010 type season, this may be Arkys best shot. I am really curious to see how Bama plays out this year, but I still hate y'all.

Davis won't even have 50 yards against our Defense.

He'll have at least one run of 50 yards.

you're taking him way to literally. Of course davis won't break one for exactly 50. Good starting point though for guesstimation of his longest run of the day. And with one run Davis will have proven himself superior to everyone on LSUs offense.
