Yep. You will almost never hear him say anything positive about todays players. He is convinced that they are all soft and couldn't have made it back in his day.

When Holmgren took over the Browns offered Jim a community outreach position. Brown said he wanted to work in personnel or nothing.

He played 9 years, which was smart. He can still walk.

Jim B.>T.Richardson at this point. Maybe always, time will tell. One thing is for sure, when ever you hear an announcer say that a running back is a physical runner, they are comparing that runner to J.B.'s benchmark. Brown was the beast everyone is compared to.

I can't take anybody seriously when they're wearing one of those African fez hats...nor anybody who supports OJ Simpson.

Jim Brown sounded bitter and senile in that piece earlier.

Only because he didn't want to play anymore. He led the league in rushing his final season. What he fails to realize is that he was about 30-40 years before his time. He weighed 230 pounds and could outrun everyone on the field during a time when the average D-lineman probably went about 240-250. The average NFL players of today would dominate during his time, but a 25 year old Jim Brown would be an All Pro in today's league.

What's ordinary about Richardson? "The size, the speed, his moves," he said.

TR - 5'11" 224

JB- 6'1" 212

And I would venture to guess TR is faster than Brown ever was.
