Who would be scared of a Tubby Smith led LSU?
I would. For LSU
I would. For LSU

Is Tubby a leading candidate for the job?

I have no idea how good we're going to be. I definitely wouldn't pencil us in as a tournament team.
PG: Releford, Eblen, Omojoh
SG: Lacey, Randolph, Steele,
SF: Randolph, Cooper
PF: Jacobs, Cooper
C: Engstrom, Gueye
Jacobs can score down low but struggled (understatement) to rebound and defend the post. Engstrom and Gueye are limited 7 footers who improved some but will have to improve a lot more.
Clearly a more perimeter oriented team and Lacey, Randolph, and Cooper will have to improve. Releford and Steele should be solid.
We have no commitments at the moment. Devonta Pollard would make a big difference and surely (hopefully) we'll sign somebody.
I haven't really looked that in-depth at the other teams but it looks like a step back overall compared to last year unless Mizzou and A&M really add something.

Jed,
Bj Young averaged 15, 3 & 2 off the bench last year as a true freshman.
It's very possibly for Parker to come in and do that if not better if he actually starts unlike Bj did.

He will start and get a lot of touches. He threw out anthony davis and demarcus cousins. Sure those are very elite players but they are players that had to share a lot of touches.

Guards typically acclimate A LOT quicker than bigs. BJ Young averaging 15 is a perfect example.
If you come into the SEC at 6'10 250 and average 15 points a game, you're a top 10 draft pick. Tony Parker won't do that, and he's not a top ten draft pick.

Self-hating gets old... isn't that what the other fans are supposed to do to Tennessee.
I understand not have an extermely optimistic outlook on things, but no reason to bash your own school at every opportunity like a lot of Tenn fans do.
Have some pride.

So do I... and I don't see how self-deprecation is something that a person would want to do. I understand showing humility, but geez, must be sad being you.

If I was a UGA fan and if they get Parker... IF.. I'd set the bar at like... 12 & 6. That would be very good for a freshman center. Very good IMO.
Stay for his sophomore year, put up 18 & 8. Lotto pick.

I'll admit, I had a tough time placing them somewhere.
I never watched them play last year, so all I had to go by was how underwhelming they were this season

ok, now it's time to tone it down a bit. the best big man coach in the country is now the head coach at tulsa. and uga hasnt done very well developing anyone lately. ridiculous post.

We're too low. We'll be young but we'll have a two-deep of SEC level talent for the first time since Harrick...and that's with or without Parker. Get Parker and I say we're a 7-9 seed, no Parker and we're an NIT/Bubble team.

You're behind.
Its Tubby Smith's job to turn down. Prohm may be Plan B

Sweet Jesus Georgia fans, your team just went 15-17 and finished 11th in the SEC.
No one, and I mean literally no one, will project you as a tournament team, with or without Tony Parker.
I'm probably overvaluing you as it is.

Not to mention UGA graduated their starting Guards, Dustin Ware, and Gerald Robinson Jr.
