I admit it looks bad for my Tigers, but who in the world bets on AU basketball? If you are betting on AU basketball, you have a gambling problem. Does Vegas put a line out for swimming or equestrian?

The people who arranged the shaving certainly bet. I'll be interested to see how deep this goes. In most cases, someone puts the player up to the shaving with promises of sharing winnings or not being killed.

It's not a reflection on Auburn. Its a reflection on one idiot. Auburn did the right thing by notifying the authorities immediatly.

Great thread. Good thing we didn't have a stickied thread on this, full of similar thoughts and opinions.

I took AU -1.5 v LSU when I was out in Vegas last week. The only problem I had was that it was one of the few games I actually won.

If the fix is in, it's not gambling. It's damn near guaranteed money.

I'm not a big gambler, but most people say the most money is made on events where the least amount of knowledge is. So an Auburn basketball game might fit that particular mold. I'm sure some of the serious gamblers can tell you what really went down, though.
