Kentucky is a beautiful state to live. Many people go to New Orleans and talk about how dirty it is.

Oh, I agree with you. I guess it probably doesn't bother me because the only connection I have to the state of Kentucky is the school.

Oh, I have lived in both Louisiana and Kentucky. Was educated in both states and my wife is from Louisiana...I love to live in both states.
So, stop the insults and Tigers, good game!
Busey, you need to chill brah!

Well you're definitely more likely to leave Mammoth Cave alive.

Kentucky 60 v. LSU 51 FINAL

The panhandle, outside of the coast, is redneck as frick.
Kentucky is a beautiful state to live. Many people go to New Orleans and talk about how dirty it is. We don't have the biggest cities in the world but we do have some of the nicest people around the south.
That's because the 'many people going to New Orleans' are "going" to New Orleans to party on Bourbon Street - which, by the time all the tourists are done with it at 2 or 3 in the morning - is not going to be automaically cleaned by magic.
The city has a contract to clean the streets of the Quarter and each late night/early morning - that is what is done.
Bourbon Street is one street among many in the French Quarter, and among hundreds in the City itself. I wonder if those "people" have bothered to see: The Garden District, Uptown/University area, Audubon Park, Magazine Street, The Riverfront, Jackson Square, City Park, and the surrounding 7 parish metro area of 1.2 million?

None of which are in this thread. Well, maybe one when she wants to be.

Considering that at least two of us aren't in Kentucky, I'll assume that you aren't insulting us.

Congrats Cats. Good game. I'll be pulling for y'all the rest of the way. We played way better than I expected. I'm proud of our guys for their performance today.
All props to LSU and their performance today. Great job by your guys - especially Hickey and Stringer (?)

Wasn't it you that made yourself look like a buffoon on the food board or was that a different Kentucky fan?

I wasn't arguing that you don't have football fans. Just that I'm not sure I believe that "Most UK fans prefer football." I think thats a bit of an oversell. The fact that you DO have football fans even with the product that has been put out recently is a testament. As Cat said though... rather have a BCSNCG over BBall NC... I buy this but I think most UK fans feel that isn't a realistic goal with the current administrative focus.
I think that's pretty much dead on; and you consider now that UofL (our big instate rival) has Charlie Strong who has been tearing up the recruiting trail, it makes it that much harder. I will say though....I wouldn't chose as BCSNCG over a BBall NC......what's wrong with wanting both? :)

No one was saying most UK fans in general prefer football, just that most UK fans on TD do.

I spent a few months in Lexington for work.. I had a great time, and was surprised at the amount of talent I came across.
