since joining the SEC, Ark is 21-23 against Alabama. Nice work.

A couple breaks here and there, a few less bad calls and the Hogs would have had Bama
Nope. It doesn't work that way. Congrats to Bama. It was a big win for them.

Can Arkansas beat Bama at anything?
Track.... We haven't beat them in football since I graduated Highschool(06).

Not that surprising. We have been the better program for the last ~15 years. They peaked a couple of years after joining and went downhill quickly after that.

Arkansas leads the series 28-26 but Bama holds the edge since the 91-92 season 23-21.

Ah, yiiah! Those were the days. They even had the court plaid in certain areas and called the place the "Plaid Palace". You knew things were about to happen when Wimp pulled off the old plaid sport-coat. I wonder if he would still be wearing them. Man! This takes me back.
Arky would have kept rollin' if Richardson didn't go actin' all a fool.

The last 6 years we have split the series 6-6.

I know we have a very young team and didn't expect a amazing season this year. I haven't even been watching the games.
We will most likely be in the tourny next year and make a decent push the next IMO but thats for another thread.
Congrats on the win gumps.

You guys aren't being fun anymore. I guess the hook was showing on that one.
You have a lot of talent. I think Anderson just has a particular style he likes to play and you don't really have the horses for that right now, so they tend to take possessions off on defense as the game progresses because they get tired.
Build up some depth and you should be fine. Honestly, I can see our teams kind of being mirror images of one another in a few years.

Yea...Wimp used to crack me up. He almost always had a frown and had the art of throwing a tantrum down to perfection. I don't think I've ever seen a coach who could play a crowd any better. He really did make those games whole a lot of fun to watch.
Great memories!

quote:Not to sure about that. The program was in a downward spiral mainly due to Nolan getting lazy in recruiting and his growing hatred for Broyles. If Nolan would have ridden off into the sunset gracefully and handed the program over to Anderson we may not have instantly gone back to the ~'89-'95 glory years, but we would not have had to go through a 14 year rebuliding process either.
