Yeah, that's off. Besides, if you were going to include big cities like that, then I would easily have Boston > Washington DC.

Boston and New York always make the list as well.

I guess this yo-yo brain has not experienced the local bar scene in Baton Rouge, the casinos, some of the most beautiful golf courses and parks in the country, the gorgeous state capital grounds, one of the most renowned municipal zoos in the nation, downtown and LSU museums and galleries, and ante-bellum plantations and other tourist sites, one of the largest malls in the South, and wonderful restaurants.
And of course there is one more thing that BLOWS AWAY every other college town in America = by far the best food and tailgating anywhere.....as well as the loudest and most deafening college football venue on the planet.....

Baton Rouge isn't even the best college town in the state. Let it go.

I wouldn't even call Baton Rouge a college town. I lived there for a bit, and loved it, but it's not a college town.

I was in Fayetteville for a game a few years ago, and was stunned when I couldn't buy beer before 10 (I think 10 maybe 10:30am?)

Dear lord man

Just gotta plan ahead for the next day if you're popping tops before 10:30 I guess

Baton Rouge is not a college town. It's a large town (smallish city) with a college in it.

Baton Rouge is the 65th largest metro in the United States.

It's not a "college town" per se, but the Tulane and Loyola students have it pretty great going to school in Uptown New Orleans directly across Audubon Park.

Like I said, figured no state could be more archaic with their liquor laws than Alabama, didn't think it would be an issue.

There's several bars that open early on gamedays in Fayetteville. I think he's referring to Liqour Stores which don't open till 10:30 by law I believe

As far as what there is and isn't to do on a football weekend, sure.

So could you please tell me what there is to do in Auburn when it is not football week-end.

During game weeks I used to sleep in the office because we closed and everyone was out by 3-4, then deliveries around 6 then open 8-10 depending on the game time

After breakfast at The Waysider, I'm usually at Eagin's by 9:00 a.m. for a beer, on game weekends.
