Seriously? Can someone explain his situation, please

Also, what about Shon Coleman?

Signed with Bama out of high school but played MLB instead. Part of his contract was that if he didn't pan out in baseball the Dodgers would pay for his college education. He didn't work out and enrolled at Auburn last year as a partial qualifier. He sat out the entire year but is now eligible to play. He will be #82 per Joel Erickson.

He is on the new roster and is listed as a RS Fr. He is fully cleared by the medical staff to play football.

That's great news for both of them especially Coleman. He seemed like he was in really good physical shape during the Spring so I think the RS year will really get him to the next level

P Marshall is reporting Pike is gone and Chizik will address it after practice tonight

Absolute failure by Chizik. I'm all for giving kids second chances -- everybody needs them -- but this kid was constantly kicked out of camps and suspended during high school. We have him a fifth or sixth chance.

Kid has been trouble for a while, and with the way our QB recruiting has been going, we should've cut the bait and pulled his scholly.

Our recruiting has been excellent under Chiz, but for him to take a chance on a kid with A TON of red flags when our depth at the position is scarce to begin with was the definition of retarded. Now Kiehl has Clint Moseley, a true freshman and a hand full of walk-ons to compete against. I'm sure that's gonna make him a lot better.

Better rethink going after Hackenburg

Methinks that's what we have Wallace for. Hardly an "absolute failure".

Pulling his scholly wouldn't have done anything. We signed another QB anyways. Now we have another spot for the current class, so really nothing was lost by giving Pike another shot.

No, we already have a good QB in the class

I'm perfectly happy with Johnson. If they throw in another 2-3 star Wallace-type just for depth, I'll be happy enough.

Wasn't Jason Smith told he would have a chance to play QB

See Jason smith, he's getting a "fair try at QB" just like Wallace.
