If what AU fans want to believe is true actually was, we wouldn't have a bunch of guys like Tyler Love, John Michael Boswell, and Brandon Gibson, who RARELY see the field taking up scholarships. Those are guys who contributed very little on the field, but stayed out of trouble and put forth the effort
You are so full of shite.
Since you are struggling with basic math here, I will help.
A football team playing American Football is comprised of an offense and a defense and special teams. The offense is allowed to have 11 players on the field at a time. The defense is also allowed to have 11 players on the field at a time.
When you add the two together, you get 22. Like this: 11 + 11 = 22.
With me so far? God I hope so...
These 22 players see the majority of the playing time on an American rules football team.
Now, you also have 11 more players on offense and 11 more players on defense that comprise something called the "second team". Not all of these players play very often, but some play more than others. If you add in these players you are up to 44 players. Like this: 11 + 11 + 11 + 11 = 44.
I know you are probably confused now as the numbers are getting bigger, plus please try and stay with me.
Many of these same players (we are at 44 in total) often comprise the special teams as these are your best players and athletes. You throw in a few kickers (the guys that "kick" at the oblong leather thingy from time to time) and you are still under 50.
Since a team is allowed to have 85 scholarship players in NCAA American Football, that means 35 players will "RARELY see the field".
So... Well, nevermind, frick it the big numbers and throwing some basic subtraction into the equation probably just blew your mind and confused the shite out of you.

I'm impressed by your math wizardry, but that has nothing to do with my point.
Why doesn't Saban just cut the untalented slobs instead of the frickups? I mean, those 35 players who, by your numeric magic, will rarely see the field, could be forced into action if there were an injury. A bastard like Saban should be able to forsee this and keep only the best players, right?

Well, that is what he is trying to do IMO. Trent fricked up with TTMW, and information leaking about various benefits he has gotten. If Trent had been a 4th stringer that was creating problems, he would be gone. Or DJ Hall who was fricking up left and right and never got run off. Or Upshaw slapping bitches up down and all around whenever he felt like it. The list goes on, but you get the point.
Saban has forced out 30-40 players (about 10 a year since he arrived). List the starters he forced out.

I mean, look:
Alonzo Lawerence 4* Dumb as a rock. Made all-american at whichever shite school he transferred to.
Glenn Harbin 4*
Chris Jackson 3*
Robby Green 4*(Failed drug tests)
Chris Jordan 4* (Wasn't processed. Was a SR this year)
Star Jackson 4* Transferred to get playing time.
Destin Hood 4* (went MLB)
BJ Scott 5*
John Boswell 4* (Wasn't processed. Was a SR this year)
Brandon Lewis 4*
Jermain Preyear 3*
2009
Kendall Kelly 4* medical issues
Petey Smith 3*
Mike Marrow 3* Transferred for playing time.
Corey Grant 4* Scared of the depth chart.
That is a lot of talent to be giving up when we could dump some of the other guys that have no shot of playing.

No, because they didn't get playing time due to being frick ups.
When you can quote some of these many players that say they were forced out, you'll have an argument. Otherwise, it's just crying.

ABout as much or more than those processed by Auburn. Besides you left a starter on the team who was charged with assault. Yall are just FOS. TNM and the rest of you this used to be the only board we could come to without constant flame threads buteave it to tnM and the other two douche bags from Auburn to ruin that as well.
Posted on 1/17/12 at 5:14 pm to Teague
Dude you are wasting time with these two
They both start many different threads in hopes of hiding their insecurity. Both should head back to ITAT or AE.
Or maybe they could grow up and quit acting like whiny pussies all over the board and take after some of the other Auburn posters that act like they actually have a college education.

So K Kelly is a frick up ? I know his story and I know how he was processed. He choices were a medical (BS) or transfer, had to make room for some other players. He is a great kid that got used by the system, but at least he is making them pay for his degree.

Why was he held out of practices all year? And where is he playing now?
Posted on 1/17/12 at 5:22 pm to Teague
Got processed and took the medical.

So, Saban planned all year for Kelly to get cut, and therefore didn't let him practice under the guise of injuries and fainting due to heat related issues, just so he could cut him at the end of the year? You've got to hand it to the man, he's nothing if not thorough and convincing.
I'm assuming Kelly went on to play football somewhere else since the health concerns were all fabricated. How did he do there?

See, here is the problem. If there were not gumps as dumb as you are, there would be much less flaming and arguing. Your stupidity is the root of the problem in this thread and why it is so long. People explain it to you over and over, but you still just can't seem to figure it out.
It is obvious AU does not cut players simply to make room for oversigning. It is obvious bama does. If some of you gumps realized this, there would not be much to argue about in this thread.

Like this?
quote:
The three players said they believe Mr. Saban falsely portrayed the circumstances of their departures to protect the image of his program. Mr. Saban had previously come under scrutiny by the media for offering scholarships to more incoming recruits than the school could accommodate under NCAA scholarship limits. This relatively common practice, which is known as "oversigning" is not prohibited by the NCAA. It allows a coach to improve his roster by giving him a larger pool of talent to choose from. But it also eventually forces the coach to get rid of a few scholarship players he no longer wants—which can put him at risk of scaring away future recruits.
Damn you gumps make it so easy. It is not like the world does not already think you are stupid, you assclowns are determined to prove you are stupid.

You try to hard with your flaming.
Posted on 1/17/12 at 6:11 pm to Tiger n Miami AU83
I know your just here to flame, but I will put it this way. Scholarships are for one year. If the coach does not want them back thats his call.
And you never gave a list of players cut.

Not arguing that. And I have not argued or even expressed an opinion in this thread as to whether it is right/wrong, ethical or not or whatever.
I have just stated simple facts that it is hard to argue, yet some find a way to argue anyway.
