During the game in relation to the offensive game plan for the bcs game. First sorry if topic sucks but i am already dreading the offseason and this interested me at the time... He said Saban told Jim the off game plan was his and Saban kept his hands off and just looked at defense all week. I know JM caught heat from many of us for his play calling in the past. I can't help but wonder now if that was in large part due to Sabans input after that comment. Depending on the experience and philosophy of the next OC do you think he will keep his hands off because I found we were playing a much more wide open game plan and trusting AJ more than before against easily the best defense we have seen all year.

In one pre-game interview with Tom Rinaldi, I could swear Saban said he was upset with the playcalling in the first meeting and that he wanted more first-down passing. While there is no doubt I believe the report that Saban let his OC make the gameplan, I am certain Saban gave him a set parameter of plays he wanted and said first-down passing was key.

I sure wish Chavis would have been ready for
Alabama's surprise offensive game plan. It looked like he hadn't even considered it.

No, the only thing I heard Brent say all night was, "Honeybadger lined up on slot. Honeybadger back for the punt. honeybadger with a tackle. Honeybadger on slot. honeybadger missed a game. Honeybadger over the slot. Honeybadger getting a handy at the slot. Honey badger this slot. Honey badger that slot."
