I wonder if Alec Morris will be redshirted.

Yet he didn't, and like I said, he wasn't going to sit behind another QB until his RS Senior year. He's too good.

Yet, you came in this thread with the line "I called this when he signed". However, he could have very well won the job, and wouldn't need to transfer. So stop with you tired old 'Bama obsession.

Bottom line is the guy should be on the field for someone..

Coach London in 2 years. He seemed to miss VA the whole time he was here by his tweets. Maybe it will work out well for him.

I didn't see anything that would make him a superstar. Efficient/good, yes but not some superstar. TT is killing me here........

Probably could have outplayed Jordan Jefferson Monday night.

Good. Now Morris will be primed and ready for when McCarron graduates.

Best of luck to you Sims!

Good luck with that.
I'll take Auburn's classes stacked with 4 and 5* at all positions instead of only at DB and LBs like bama's.

I think Bama would be come IF he went down. The real question is who would Saban trust most? I haven't seen much of Ely, but at least he had a whole RS season.

Here's an amazing article by the great Chase Goodbread written Saturday about Simms not transferring.

You would take Auburn's class over Bama's, huh? Ok.

I know that he had very limited back up/mop up time this year but I think it would not have been to good to have seen it this year? I at this point have not even glanced at the stats but I do not see it being very favorable.

Saban has horribly mismanaged the QB situation. Here's what he should have done.

2009- Burn McCarron's redshirt, make him 2nd string QB to McElroy
2010- Start McCarron (Sophomore), make McElroy the 2nd string QB
2011- Start McCarron (Junior), make Sims the 2nd string QB (RS Freshman)
2012- Start McCarron (Senior), make Sims the 2nd string QB (RS Sophomore)
2013- Start Sims (RS Junior), make Ely the 2nd string QB (RS Sophomore)
2014- Start Sims (RS Senior), make Ely the 2nd string QB (RS Junior)

The Heisman Trophy finalist told 97.3 The Zone he had not made up his mind, and was in his hometown of Pensacola where he would come to a decision.

Alabama called a 1 p.m. press conference regarding an announcement with its juniors. Those weighing their options include linebacker Dont'a Hightower, cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick
