Me and my fried(OSU fan) were just discussing the game and I mentioned how I thought they should have got a chance to watch their dreams get destoryed on the field like ours. He then asserted to me that OSU would absolutely demolish us so it wasn't a good comparison. They think they have become a traditional power or some shite now.

I think OSU would give Bama and LSU a better game than many expect, that said Bama & LSU would still win.

Someone should remind Gundy about the last time the Big 12 played in the BCS. Their QB got knocked the F out and the game was never really in doubt. Monday would've been similar.

Gundy is 100% right. And the rest of the country (outside the southeast) agrees with him. Let's not ever put 2 teams that rather play kickball vs football on National TV. OSU have play makers and a playbook. Coach Miles did not have either on Monday night. I can think of 3 or 4 others teams that would have found the end zone all night last Monday.

But how many of those teams would have held Alabama to 21 points? Oklahoma State is 90th in rushing defense and gave up 365 yards rushing and 33 points to Tulsa, 231 rushing yards to Texas, 248 rushing yards to Missouri, 192 rushing yards to Iowa State, and 243 rushing yards to Stanford. Just imagine what Trent Richardson would have done to them.

It never matters though because they play keep away and run the ball straight at you with a pretty big athletic advantage until you break down and get sick of tackling them. Bama and LSU were the only teams capable of beating each other. Would there be more points on the board...sure, but they would be on the Bama or LSU side while the opposing teams wouldn't produce near as much.

The real part of that is Weeden stays on the bench getting cold while Bama works 7-8 min drives. Then he comes back in and gets attacked by fanactical 300lb DT's and 250 LB's that run a 4.5 40 with blitz packages he's never seen before. When they don't have to worry about a run they just pin their ears back and go. Ask Tyler Wilson what that's like. He may be the toughest guy in the SEC to have taken the hits he did and keep getting back up. It was so bad vs Bama Petrino took him out of the game at the end of the 3rd qtr to save him for the rest of the schedule. You just don't have time to sit and wait for your WR's to get open. If you don't have a dual threat in the running game to keep these guys honest you might as well get the stretcher and the morphine drip ready. There's no way you're going to last the whole game.

I was pretty sure he wasn't making it out of that game without a concussion.

FIFY Bama/LSU's defenses would have 7-8 sacks if not more. That offensive line wouldn't last very long.

I'd love seeing Upshaw tearing Weeden's arse up four times in a row.

Musberger - "Well by-golly folks someone needs to chip Upshaw or this will turn into a mauling!"

how many times did they throw against Iowa State? I'm guessing 50+

It worked like gangbusters against Iowa State...Weeden was 42 for 58 against that juggernaut.
