I am watching ESPNU (Roll Tide/War Eagle).I forgot about the dumbass calling Finebaum and saying he poisoned them. What happened with all that?

They were dying long before that.
Not sure what is happening now.
Seriously several articles had been published about it. Rolling the trees and them power washing it off took a toll long before any talk of poisoning.

Updyke will get fined and probation.... trees will die and AU will spend a ton of money on the issue while updyke gets free room and board in new orleans and tix to the game.
There should be restitution involved

The poison rapidly increased the future death.

doesn't change a thing. they certainly wouldn't have died as fast as they have if he hadn't dumped poison into the soil. but hey, they were gonna die eventually so what's it matter?

Poison has a way of doing that.

Yeah, poisoning them with Spike had no effect on them

Gump reasoning at it's finest.

I only said that because the other Bammer is trying to make it seem okay that they were poisoned since they were already dying.

Order Restored.

Not true. The trees were not doing well in about 2007, primarily due to compacted root systems from being surrounded by concrete and other environment factors (such as car exhaust). AU put together a committee of experts and spent a lot of money to improve the conditions for the trees.
It worked and in 2009, before they were poisoned, not only were they not dying, they were GROWING and getting bigger.
And to answer the original question, we will know in the spring if they are dead/dying with no hope, which is pretty much a given most think.

Didn't say it was OK.
My point is the barn was warned by experts of the damage being done by the trees. They didn't care. Behaving like middle schoolers outweighed the damage being done to the trees by the fans.

Can we just go ahead and kill everything we don't like NOW and avoid the wait?
