Shoutout to new Arkansas DC Paul Haynes

He did wonders in the short period of time. The defense played with good fundamentals, and got after the QB. Held K-State to 250 yards of offense, and 89 yards rushing(averaged 200 per game). Also held them to 15 points under their season average. Haynes called a great game.
Kevin Peoples should get a shoutout too.

Very impressed so far. It was nice to see us stay in front of a scrambling qb for once.

Yep he impressed me, I didn't expect a showing that good
There's still a lot of room for improvement and we may not see a spectacular defense next year since we lose a lot of our best playmakers, but I think he'll get us there eventually

Definately impressed. Can't wait to see what our D looks like after he implements his entire scheme and gets some of his own recruits.

We looked like a completely different defense. We were able to penetrate but stay in our lanes. Oh yea bequette just said we were grindin.

Two years in a row in a bowl where his defense started out stout, had a mid-game collapse allowing the other team to sneak back in, then finished the game strong including a last play interception, not counting the complimentary :mercyknee: for Kansas State with 0:05 left...

our defense was so much better tonight, no big plays and they kept Klein in check. great to watch.

You guys will get it together on defense. If Ark could recruit with LSU and 'Bama (which im sure you'll get there). Arkansas will be dangerous, as hell.

To be fair, Kansas State's offense sucks.
I don't care how many yards they averaged per game in the Big 12. Arkansas' defense was one of the most talented they saw all season.

Unless they magically start stealing a ton of players from Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama, they won't get there.

If you've watched our D all season, you would see the small improvements he has made. He taught them to quit over pursuing, and the DB's actually made plays on the ball tonight, especially Fr Tevin Mitchel.(He's gonna be goooood)

That's good to hear. I'm not saying he hasn't done a good job.
