Serious question. Are you going to leave this website after the national championship?
I'm willing to take up a collection to make it happen.

Now you're projecting the BCS formula on the past? What will you do when the BCS does defunct?

Like if we lose? No, it's the best place to talk about SEC football. (not really a lot of options)
I'm just talking shite to LSU fans because they've been ignorant ever since they beat Oregon. LSU is normally my second favorite team, but not this season.

Aubies aren't claiming 2004 yet?

The majority of all fan bases (even most Bammers) know Bama has only 6-8 TRUE national titles.

False. Most of the country doesn't make stupid arguments like that, they know Bama has 13. Get over it. Bama has 8 in the poll era sure, but that doesn't mean the other five aren't official, the media recognizes, football fans recognize it, it's official.

I've been under the impression that the Rose Bowl used to be the only bowl game, and that the winner of it was considered to be the national champ. Amirite? Srsly. Ifirongtllme.

The BCS champion is automatically awarded the Coaches' Poll championship. Of the current 120 Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS, formerly I-A Division) schools, only 30 have won at least a share of a national title. Of these 30 teams, only 18 teams have won multiple titles. Of the 18 teams, only seven have won five or more national titles: Alabama, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, USC, Miami, Nebraska, and Ohio State.

Why can't it be because the Tigers are simply the better team? I hate to bring reality into the conversation though.

I am not sure WTF you are talking about. I have heard very few media sources or football fans of other teams who give Alabama an undisputed 13 titles. Only Gumps do that.

NCAA doesn't. They do give you 11 but that puts you 7 short of Yale's 18. Yale owns Bama.

Honestly, who cares?
Bama fans will say 13. Other fans will say X, Y, or Z (you pick). And the insanity continues.
My only laugh is 1941. Until they address that "championship" it will always be a joke to me.

For your arguments sake, and it was only 8 which is incorrect, where does that leave the rest of the SEC?
Got 8? Got 21 or better sec titles? Didn't think so.

Interesting. LSU has four titles (one which we do not claim - 1908). Of those four, only 2007 is not shared.

We should delete this thread, it's not a fair argument to other fan bases who did not have a football program to compete for championships between the years of 1958 - 2002

Come on man, your athletic director recognizes them and that is cool with me. Your AD is consistent in his methodology (even if I disagree with him).
But only the most misinformed or lazy members of the media would state unequivocally that Bama has thirteen legitimate titles.
