On the second series, they bring in Sims and go with the wishbone.

Same general gameplan, but the playcalling got a little too cute at times in the last game. Punt the ball if we're out of reasonable FG range.

Bama will be more disciplined defending the edges and the option.
If LSU runs their version of the option, JJ is gonna get wacked every time...whether he has the ball or not.

If so, Hilliard will gash them up the gut.

Alabama will use their TE and backs more in the passing game. They will try to run wide by overloading the side they run to. They know LSU's leak link is their LBs and will try to use that to their advantage. Also getting TR isolated on a LB...like the swivel pass in OT the last game.
LSU will have to hit big plays while being able to protect the QB. They need to use their backs and TE better as well.

For his own sake he needs to learn how to use a punter to get an advantage in field position instead of giving it up repeatedly by attempting 50 + yard field goals.

They played like they did for a reason, as did we.I don't see too much changing as far as game plans.

Bama doesn't have many options because they are so conservative. Saban will do what he always does but add a few situational tricks. He will play for field position more I bet and be more aggressive on defense. It doesn't take much to stop Jefferson.
Good post and I totally agree.

Alabama will throw the ball more to open up some lanes for T-Rich.
I wish they would let AJ drop back and throw

Nobody is gashing this D up the gut.
Same gameplan for Bama offensively except when we get to the 30, we stay with the run game.
Defensively, a little gameplanning against the option is all they need to change. JJ will be their only option, JL will shite himself once again against Bama if he sees the field...and he won't.

Alabama will try a new game plan on offense. When it fails, they will go back to the game plan from the last game. By that time, they will be down by two scores and basically tread water the rest of the way.

Offensively, yes.
Defensively, no. He will put in some major time teaching them how to defend the option.
Bingo. Bama will be ready to shut down the option and zone read QB draws, that's probably what they'll work on for the next month. Bama will force JJ to beat them with his arm. If he can, LSU wins. If he can't, good chance Bama wins. Offensively, I think you'll see alot more crossing patterns to the TE's and backs using picks. And probably a heavier dose of Trent running up the gut, and a healthy Lacy doing the same. I also expect a couple of new trick plays, and more punts and going for it on 4th and short than long FG's.

If the LBs cheat to the edges, it will happen.

Well that will mean a couple 15 yard penalties. The one thing about jj is he won't pull a dre and quit.

You mean like he did in 2009 after the Bama D drilled him in the chest 3-4 times?

Good thing Bama uses a 3-4 and as 4 LB's on the field. Two for the middle and two for the outside with safety run support.
