to NC game if OSU loses. Now doesn't that violate the point that many LSU fans on here are proclaiming, "Bama had their chance and blew it!"

Of course Oregon lost by 20ish something points to LSU. The talking heads for some reason forget about half the football team, the defense.

If Oregon is the second best team in the country then they should play the best. Period. Same with Bama.

Oregon lost at a neutral site, bama lost at home is the only argument I can see.

Well... if you listened to the media last night, you should realize that Oregon and Bama should play for the national title...

Oregon could slip up against UCLA in the PAC 12 CG.

They deserve to go more than Bama. Bama had lsu at home. If you can't beat them there in November then you just aren't as good. End of story. Someone else gets a turn.

It's really entertaining how all these bammer fans are trying to conjure up all these scenarios so they can convince themselves they will somehow get to the national title game

i think the arguement, spoken or not, will be "anybody but SEC". the last thing the nation wants is two SEC teams in the ship. ditto for the networks. the game of the century is over.

Oregon lost by 13.

At a pro LSU site.

With 4 turnovers and LaMichael James missing the second half with injury as well as Oregon having players suspended and cramping.

And it was a 3 point game at halftime.

And Oregon outgained LSU significantly even with the injuries, suspensions, and 4 turnovers.

And it was the first game of the season.

Oregon has a case. Probably just as strong as bama or moreso.

So does that mean that OSU should be docked some points for not playing in an EXTRA GAME?

Home field advantage is 3 points. Subtract 3 points from 20 and you have 17. Even an LSU education can determine that 3 is less than 17.

LSU and Alabama are the two best teams without a doubt, so from that point of view I have no problem with it.

The only issue I have is Alabama will be sitting at home the first Saturday in December and can get their ticket punched with an Oklahoma State loss, while we will actually have to play a tough game in the SEC Championship for the right to face them. Something isn't right about that.

The fear here is almost ALIVE....LSU fans KNOW there's only one team left that can take them down and they want no part of Alabama.

BTW after watching Stanford last night they couldn't beat half the teams in the SEC and would finish fourth in the SEC West. Same for Boise.

Good teams dont just have 4 turnovers.

Good teams protect the ball.

Oregon didn't do that. Mainly because of LSU forcing said turnovers.

So that's not an excuse.

I know it sucks but it's the way it is. If the BCS' goal is to pit the two best teams then this will happen.

You are wrong. Two of those turnovers came on back to back fumbles by James replacement, a freshman who was suddenly thrown into the game. That is a legit reason. And they turned into 14 points for LSU.

No James injury, no back to back fumbles by a true fresheman, Oregon wins by 1?

Telling you guys Oregon has a case and the media is noticing as well.
