I'm surprised you didn't get the ban hammer. Whats the over/under on how many times you were called a Bammer/Gump/Updyke/Spuat/redneck?
My guess is 20.

It was a ton. Don't post there much, there were a couple who agreed with me though. shite like that makes Auburn look like little brother.

Could have something to do with that NC he won...
We are the 2nd youngest team in the SEC, playing the toughest schedule in the SEC and we have lost a grand total of 3 games, all on the road, to teams that have lost a combined 2 games. The coaching staff has done a great job this year. The three teams we lost to were just flat better than us. I don't blame the coaches for that.

Alabama or rather all fanbases do dumb things. Look at LSU - can't let go of Saban

Shouldn't a program like Auburn be COMPETITIVE? The championship was awesome but it doesn't get him off the hook for having the team ready to play every saturday.
I didn't expect us to beat teams like LSU this year. I would like for us to at least keep games close though.

I'm no sunshine pumper, but no team is going to be competitive with the likes of LSU when they lose what we lost from last year. Our starters had almost no experience going into the season. Honestly, we're performing about how I expected us to.

look how young LSU is. why do our coaches get a pass on having the guys ready to play?

Depends on who you believe.
Sagarin has LSU, Tennesee, Auburn
Colley has Auburn, LSU
either way Aub plays a tough sched - but so does everyone in the SEC.
Also, the SoS can't really be cited for anything until seasons end. If by chance Penn State wins today and Clemson loses - Alabama will surpass Auburn in both SoS polls.
So, its really a dynamic poll that means very little until seasons end.

Our team has WAY, WAY less combines starts than LSU's team. It's not even close. Most of the juniors and seniors that are starting for us are not very talented. They are only starting because their backups are freshman. Remember that when Chizik came to Auburn, we had almost no depth anywhere. Beginning next year, we will finally be completely out of the hole Tuberville dug for us. This year it's still hurting us because we have very few talented juniors and seniors.

I understand that we didn't have experience.
Like I said, I would think a good coaching staff would at least keep games competitive.

I'm not saying that some of that doesn't fall on the coaching, but LSU has better starters at every position except RB. Also, yes, we got blown out, but the score was worse than the game actually was. We have been picked to lose every conference game we've had this year. Shouldn't coaches get some credit for winning 4 of those games. No one expected us to win 4 SEC games this year, and we've already done that.

I'll say this as an AU fan:
Chizik has an eye for coaching talent and is a much better recruiter than I ever thought possible. He put together a top 25 class in '09 after having basically a month and a half to recruit after being hired and followed that up with consecutive top 5 classes. That's awesome, especially considering the recruiting competition in the SEC. He deserves a lot of credit for the talent we're getting in our program.
But I don't know how good of a head coach the guy is. Recruiting is great, but you also have to coach those guys up. In Chizik's two seasons without Cam, we've been drilled by Arkansas and LSU both times and lost a close one to Bama. And the defense has been an embarrassment. I gave Chiz and Roof a pass in '09 because of our lack of depth thanks to Tubbs' feeble recruiting efforts in his last couple of years here, but these last two years are inexcusable. We haven't been able to stop a nosebleed. Chizik and Roof constantly have heated arguments on the sideline, and that's got to stop--one way or the other.
Another weird thing about Chiz is the way he answer questions during interviews. There is coachspeak, and then there is Chizikspeak. I just don't understand it, and it pisses me off. He sounds like he has no idea about football. His answer to any questions he gets about schemes, strategies, situations, personnel--anything about the game--seems to always be something along the lines of how he's extremely blessed and how everybody is all in. Look, I'm a man of Christian faith and have no problem with Chizik's proclamation of his faith and trying to instill that in his players, but if this is the only way you answer just about every single question, it makes you look like you have no idea what you're talking about. Chiz seems VERY guarded about everything, and it's weird.
Next year will tell a lot about which direction we're heading. It will be Chiz' first year with all of his recruits, and we'll return nearly all of our starters. We have a chance to win 8 games this year with a win over UGA today--and possibly more--which is great when you consider our youth and lack of QB play.
If we win 8 games this year, anything less than 9 or 10 wins next year, especially with all of our tough games being at home minus Bama, will be disappointing, IMO, and will have me questioning whether Chizik is the man to keep us competing for championships.

I understand that it is dynamic, but if I am not mistaken most of those computer rankings do not consider home and away. In any case, yes every SEC school plays a tough schedule, but...
we play our SEC west schedule and the top 3 teams from the east. We had to go to Athens, Columbia, Baton Rouge, Fayetteville and Clemson. Hell, look at our Oct. stretch. SOS rankings don't factor in order of games etc. It matters though - see Bama/USCe last year.

It is a lot of coach speak, but I've never heard him say this when asked about personnel or scheme.

We were running Tommy's defense while Chizik was here.
