gimmicky football

Why is an offense that uses misdirections, etc is labeled gimmicky but a defense that hides what they are doing with blitzes,etc is considered great?

Your average fan doesn't know shite from a horse's arse about football? If they want to really understand a lot of Auburns' plays, just tell people that think of it as if we're running the wishbone out of the shotgun.

Anything but gimmicky. One of the first offenses that was ever run. Its was called the single wing.

Because rival fans with no creativity use it as a way to degrade their opponent and could not care less if they actually make a valid point or not.
