Their styles are certainly different. However, half of your fanbase would kill to have Saban back.

You would like to believe that, but I assure you..it is not true...why do Bammers keep bringing this up?..PENIS ENVY...?/

My nephew plays for LSU, no bias here(he is on the bottom of this page) . but I do know that Miles is very well liked among the players(i am sure that most college coaches are with their team), but I mean, they really love him. Chase always tells me how down to earth he is and a very good family man. I am one LSU fan that did appreciate everything that Saban did for this program.

Props on the defensive back room too. LSU showing extreme class remembering their past players in the secondary. Never seen anything like that before.

Personally I got used to Saban's style at LSU and had trouble accepting Les as a coach, but I must say he has won me over as of late.

A few nutjobs on the rant does not equal 50% of the fanbase. Did you learn those mad math skills at Bama?

Saban loves LSU and always will. He knows that the worse mistake he ever made was going to the NFL. He did land a great job with Bama, probably the only job he would have taken other than maybe Penn St was coming back to LSU

Wow. You got me. I comment favorably towards LSU's head coach and you focus on this?

I also love Les Miles. Saban is a great coach, but I would not trade coaches now. No coach has ever brought as much national attention (most of it good) to LSU. With an overabundance of coach speak and cliches out there, it is great to have a guy who give the appearance of flying by the seat of his pants and acknowledges and embraces discussion and enjoyment of the big moments. He is great not only for LSU but for all of college football

i definitely respect your original thought when starting this thread. les just had a great moment on his weekly radio show with a 9 year old kid that dressed up as him for halloween that reminded me again what a good dude he is.

heres to a great, injury free game on saturday. may the best team win (LSU)!

Thank you. This was the response I was hoping for. Miles is a great dude who is really good for the game. He may have had his screw ups, but who hasn't? I hope he and Saban both stick around for another 10 years so we can continue to have these epic contests.

I'm watching the ESPN ALL Access show and Miles is killing it. I know there are varying opinions about his coaching style, but the man is a great human being and he has fun. He is really good for college football. Congrats Tiger fans, you have a hell of a man leading your program. No bullshite.

I agree...

Thanks. You hit the nail on the head regarding Miles.

In return, I loved when Saban was here and hated to see him leave for Miami. He was a very good coach, recruiter, and overall program manager then and still is now.

Bama is lucky to have Saban and LSU is even luckier to have Les Miles.

I just heard that too, he told the kid he would have to make an arrangement to meet the kid and shake his hand at a game one day. He made the kid's day and it reminded me how genuinely nice the guy is and how lucky we are to have him as our coach.

As for Saban, I will always be grateful for how he brought the LSU program back to the big stage. My Dad grew up with him in WV and always said he was just a different kind of guy and a loner. It's just his personality, but no one can ever question the fact that he is a hell of a good football coach.

One thing no one has ever really questioned about Miles is his character. Great man and I think he has made football a lot of fun for his players and really makes it fun for the media and everyone around him. Football is a fun game and sometimes it gets lost in the business-like aspects of it.

Cannot agree with this more. That'd be a whole lot of fun if they both continue this type of success and have a decent rivalry going!

Look, I love what Saban has done for the Alabama football program, but I must admit that he does make me nervous in regards to him leaving or retiring. I think Miles stays at LSU for 20 plus years if LSU fans will have him. That's security I would kill for.
