One of top RB prospects in all of America. I know he likes UGA and Florida has been mentioned also.
Anybody know his top 4 or 5 and where he is leaning?

AU lock, but we didn't want him.

UGA lock from what I can tell.

UGA lock if Richt stays, UGA soft verbal if Richt is gone. Grew up a UGA fan, loves Athens

Florida positioned itself to be there until the end with this kid. It all depends on the Richt situation. It could all go downhill for UGA if UF beats UGA showcasing Rainey.

If Richt stays, Marshall is at UGA plain and simple. And even if Richt doesn't, I believe Brice Ramsey and Marshall both said they would still strongly consider UGA depending on how RIcht was treated on the way out and who they brought in

Is he better than Crowell? That would be a heckuva 1-2 punch in the backfield

Hard to say who'd be better. Marshall is wicked quick and elusive. Crowell just has great patience and doesn't quit until there are 3 or so guys trying to gang tackle him. Would indeed be a heckuva 1-2 punch

Chad Simmons of Scout agrees with Marshall being a strong Georgia lean: Fox Sports South

Keith Marshall, a 5-foot-11, 185-pounder from Raleigh, N.C., could be Athens-bound if the Bulldogs have a strong finish to the season, according to Chad Simmons, the national college football recruiting analyst for FOX Sports and Scout.com.
“(Coach Mark) Richt and Marshall have a great relationship and connection,’’ Simmons said Tuesday. “If Georgia and Richt finish strong this season, the ‘Dogs for the second year in a row could land the No. 1 running back in the entire country.’’
also includes this:
quote:
A longtime Georgia commitment, offensive lineman John Theus of Jacksonville, Fla., took an official visit to Notre Dame recently and has a visit lined up at Florida for next month. Simmons said that Theus is still committed to the Bulldogs, but with this caveat:
“Theus has made it clear, if Mark Richt returns in 2012 he will be a ‘Dog next year.’’

Seen him play 5 times this year and not that impresed. Against above average teams does not gain much on the ground. His big games are against teams with losing records and even in some of those he did not stand out.
Two of the games I watched were against teams right at .500 and he got 65 and 43 yards. He has had one game for over 200 yards but that team has not won a game this season. That says alot when they always run it to the left side behind a 6'4 300+ lb tackle blocking for him going against DL average about 220lbs.
He will be a good RB by his 2nd or 3rd year but when he gets to UGA or any SEC school he will have to really get stronger to play in the SEC. He is not in the same league as Crowell coming out of HS.

Is this the kid that has all the fumbling issues?

Says Mike Farrell.
If he committed to ND, the fumbling issues would go away though.
Farrell doesn't know frick. Don't listen to what he says.
