Mark it down. Mississippi State is going to go into the game overly confident after having whipped Memphis and seeing Auburn barely beat Utah State. Auburn is going to have a tough week of practice and go into the game with something to prove.
Auburn wins by 7-10 points.

After what I saw Saturday, I have a hard time believing this. I don't think it's going to be a blow out like some of the State posters do.....

You are correct.
Malzahn has been good enough for 2+ years to more than compensate for Roof's incompetence. He will find a way.
Kind of strange to have the best and worst coordinators in all of football on the same staff....

AU will score 40+ and will throw the ball. A lot. Trotter will go over 300 yds but I'm just not sure it will be enough.

Miss. St. will run at will on Auburn. That front seven is awful soft.

I'm not saying we will beat state, but Utah St lost to Oklahoma by 7 in their opener last year. There were a lot of teams that Oklahoma beat by more than 7 that were probably better than Utah St.
shite happens in games against teams like that. You should know being a MSU fan and all. I'm sure MSU has lost to plenty of creampuffs over the last ten years.

that's irrelevant.... comparing games is just stupid.
with that said, we don't beat State... they'll run up the middle on us and get their 200 rush yards pretty easily. relf will be good enough to keep us somewhat honest in the passing game.
our OL must play better to have any chance whatsoever.

I hate it when people compare from game to game like this. Not flaming you, It's just been proven time and time again that this doesn't work. FWIW I have a hard time believing that AU wins but I do think AU fields a totally different team next saturday. IMO there were a lot of freshman thinking they were champs just because they had on the jersey the first game.. Hope they see where that got them.

I am inclined to agree with this. Moo St is still Moo St. Having beaten them the last 10 in a row, and the last 17 of 18, as a Tiger fan I am always amazed when the puppies actually do win one.

This. I'm a lifelong state fan and there is no way I count any game as a definite W. I still think we will win but I have seen this happen too many times in our history.

Let's remember that even at Auburn's best they only beat Miss State by a field goal
