SABAN is that the answer? look the guy is good, but not that good. Bama should every year return good players like an LSU or Florida, BUT come on. Last year you had Ingram, Richardson, McElroy, and Jones. You still couldn't beat us. It was a home game for us, but how do you think you will improve with no known QB and now only one true running threat Richardson "who we took out of the game", and okay receivers. I do think your defensive front and Linebackers will be good, but Secondary is way overrated. Flame Away BAMMERS.

LSU has les miles. That's not a flame btw....but it's probably the biggest insult I could throw at you.

ETA: If it's not an insult yet...wait until this season's lackadaisical performance by LSU's ever so talented team.

Bama only started 3 Seniors last year, was replacing 9 players on Defense, had a tough road schedule, and played 6 straight SEC opponents who had an off week before playing us. The only player we may miss is Jones. We are stacked with a favorable schedule. There's your answer.

Nope. EL says hi. He's a more than adequate backup to TR. Also, we return 4 of 5 on the o-line. Anyone with a modicum of football knowledge knows it starts up front. We have talent and experience in the trenches.

Glad we agree on one thing in your post

Secondary is way overrated

How so? B/c they had a couple of missed assignments last year? Barron is 1st/2nd rounder. Lester is a 2nd/3rd rounder. Dre is a 1st rounder. Menzie is a 2nd-4th rounder. Milliner is only a soph. Talent & experience again.

As you pointed out, bama's front & LBs are good (though I would say very good). A secondary is greatly impacted by the production of those in front of them. Bama's LBs & defensive front should help what is already a talented secondary.

If you are gonna flame us do so properly:
*inexperience at QB
*Lack of experiences size at WR (no one to replace Julio)
*replacing a 1st round LT with either a guard or a freshman

At least show you know football when you flame.

MUCH easier schedule that last year.

Defense will almost certainly be better. Basically 10 starters returning.

4 of 5 returning on Oline, which is always huge.

Trent is not the only RB threat by any means.

QB is a question mark, but not replacing an elite guy at that position.

WR will take a hit with loss of Julio no doubt. Other top two WR are back, and people believe Bama has recruited well at that position the last three years.

There are the main reasons. Top 10 team last year. Should be there again.

Can we get some new subjects to discuss in here. It is the same subject with a different title.

Who cares the season is played out on a field 12 teams will get a chance to prove Bama didn't deserve the hype. Too much emphasis is given to preseason polls, analysis, etc.

I am ready for this season to go so we all can post in threads on how our team is better because it scored more points then your team against a common opponent.

Dude, I'm an LSU fan, but you're embarassing yourself.

McElroy was an unknown heading into 2009. Ingram was only a sophomore and not that great yet and their D was about the same as it is now. I think 09 turned out pretty well.

We return 10 starters from a defense that ranked #1 in the SEC and top 5 nationally in most statistical categories.

We will have the most experienced offensive line in the SEC.

Trent Richardson will be running behind that offensive line.

QB position will be a tremendous upgrade in overall talent.

Nick Saban

MUCH easier schedule

Who fricking knows who is going to be good. NOBODY has played a down of football yet! Why do you let a preseason ranking even bother you? For fricks sake.....
