College football tickets are always so high right now on the web. Is it cheaper to try to get tickets from a scalper on game day?

Normally yes... There are exceptions, but 9 times out of 10... Also depends on the number, 4 together is always harder than 2.

My experience, yes it is. If it is an away game, go hang out by your team's gate, and you can usually find someone that has extra tickets that only wants face or something close to it.

for my first few bama games, me and my dad came from North Carolina without tickets and never had a problem finding them way cheaper than online

my only other advice is buy your tickets from someone other than an obvious scalper. AU had issues last year with counterfeit tickets. Look for some guy that looks like your next door neighbor....well, unless your next door neighbors are all reprobates.

What if your neighbor is a little person and you can't find a little person scalping tickets? Should I go with the Neighbor next to my neighbor?

Almost always. SEC Championship game is an exception. I attended LSU/Bama and Iron Bowl last year. Both times got scalped tickets 5 minutes after kick off for $10 a piece. Also, most bowl games are cheaper before game. Exceptions: LSU in sugar bowl, any Chic-fil-a bowl, NCG.

I wanna get tickets for the LSU vs. Tenn game but dont want to pay a fortune for a game like that and figured I could probably find tickets there. $118 is the cheapest a ticket for lower level, and thats at the endzone. Just dont think its worth it at all. And yes, I will only be getting 2 tickets....so I hope its easier.

First of all, if you live next door to a little person, you should move immediately. They bring nothing but trouble, scare small children and usually are carnies.

I really don't think you will have an issue, last time AU played there got 2 tickets for my UT ex for 5 over face. Ask the vols on here the best place to go to find tickets. Good luck

Depends on the game. I've gotten gameday Ole Miss tickets against Directional State University for $15 before. I haven't gotten SEC tickets for under 40, though.

Yes, it's just hard to find more than 2 or 3 seats together.

It's almost always cheaper on gameday... I've forgotten where I saw stats on this , but I think stub hub keeps them. Rather than go through a scalper, I've known people who needed extras or who decided at the last minute to go through stubhub. You can buy them up to the morning of I think and pick them up at their outlet, which is always close to the stadium. Might be a little more, but they guarantee authenticity.
They also have stats on the most expensive days to buy tickets.

I wouldnt even mind seeing the WVU vs. LSU game, but those are hundreds of dollars for upper deck. Its not like WVU is relevant this year.

It all depends on how long you are willing to hold out. If you can wait to purchase just after kick off, you will always pay below face.

Yeah I've had good experience with buying them. If you don't care where you sit then it's the way to go.

Last year, I backed out of my season tickets. I went to five total games. I didn't buy a single one ahead of time.
I paid:
$0 for Memphis
$0 for Georgias
$0 for Kentucky
$0 for Ole Miss
$30 for LSU in the lower bowl.
I've never paid over 30 bucks for a ticket home or away and it's always because I scalped them right before the game started. I know that's not the case with everyone else. But, for example, this year's memphis' tickets are going for $54 and up last time i checked. I will scalp before the game and keep my $30 streak goin. The most important thing is not being worried about seeing warm ups. The closer to gametime, the less money. It drops fast as gametime approaches.

Last time the Rolling Stones were here, $200 got you halfway across the stadium. I walked up right as the show started and a desperate scalper sold me two $250 seats for $15 each.
Timing is everything.
