None of the above
FWIW Dan Mullen Defeated his mentor in his second attempt, so maybe Dooley has the best shot

dooley has the best shot if ut doesn't fire him because he gets to play him the most.
muschamp has this year but then bama rotates off.
jimbo is in a diff conf and as far as i know they aren't scheduled to play
smart is still on staff.

I was hoping it was going to be Dantonio last year, but he also mentored under Tressel.

Muschamp definitely. I just don't see Dooley ever getting close to Saban's level as a coach, Jimbo might not even get the opportunity to face him head to head, and Smart is still very young. I have no idea how long it'll take before he even gets a head coaching job for a program in a BCS conference. It might be years before he gets the opportunity. Muschamp is a very promising, young coach. He's at a program that's had a ton of success over the last 20 years. He knows Saban's strengths, weaknesses and tendencies more than Fisher and Dooley because he was a defensive coach. Saban almost certainly talked with him about gameplans and strategies more than the other coaches. If any of Saban's assistants ever beats him, it's going to be Muschamp.

I know Smart is still on staff hence the parenthesis.I am a realistic Bammer. If Richt gets canned and Bama lives up to the hype he is as sure gone.

But they could easily meet in the SEC championship and it's pretty likely that they will. Florida and Alabama has met more times in the SEC Championship game than anybody else and it isn't even close. I don't really see Georgia or Tennessee causing UF too much trouble and South Carolina is South Carolina. Muschamp will have an easier time making it to Atlanta than Meyer or Spurrier did.

im not sold on muschamp and uf yet plus its not like we know for sure how many shots he will get at saban.
im not really sold on any of them beating him but as long as dooley is at ut he gets a shot at him. muschamp isn't getting the one shot every year no matter what.
if they all got one shot a year at him id prob take jimbo as the best chance to win.

I don't know how you can be sold on Jimbo but not be sold on Muschamp. Weren't his offenses really inconsistent at LSU? People are hyping FSU like crazy but he didn't really do much last year. They played three teams that were worth a shite, got blown out in two of those games and needed an epic meltdown by Stephen Garcia to win the third game.
Anybody who watched that game knows that South Carolina was the better team. They made an ungodly amount of mistakes and still came close to winning that game. I'm just not sold on Fisher and FSU quite yet. I just have a gut feeling that Muschamp will turn out to be a really good coach, a better coach than Fisher will be.

Muschamp is going to be a legend when all is said and done IMO. Always admired the guy due to his passionate coaching style, and of course the 2003 LSU D. I actually hate UF significantly less now that he is there, and Urrrb is gone.

the main complaint with jimbo at LSU was the auburn 06 game. Who knows how much of that was les meddling though and not letting jimbo do his thing.
His offense was fine the rest of the time here and he was much better than gary crowton as we never had near the offensive shite show we had the last 2 years. I could look up the stats but just off memory the only year we had a real issue was 02 and that was because mauck went down.

I'm not at all sold on Muschamp.
I'll take Dooley because they'll play Alabama more than the other teams.

Dooley seems to be recruiting pretty good, so I say it's him. Maybe in about 3-4 years.
If UT lets him stick around that long...

FIFY
Jimbo claims Les Miles his mentor
Muschamp claims Mack Brown his mentor
Sabans first ex-coach to beat him will be nobody. I didn't realize Saban loses....

At minimum, he'll get two more chances.
I think he should have a decent chance in 2012.
