Maybe we can get some of the 3K fans that were watching his games to come to the Joe for baseball the way God and Abner Doubleday intended.

Why'd he leave Bama? Getting heat for choking every year?

I wonder why he wanted to leave?

I imagine he wanted more $$. Couldn't be facilities, they've really spruced up the softball complex in the last year.

Yeah. Hopefully we can get a good coach to get us in the Championship game. Congrats on the hire. He's had Bama in 7 WCWS out of the 13 yrs they've been playing.

He had everything he could want at Alabama. I guess he can go choke at LSU now.

I'm not necessarily happy to see him go, but as a baseball fan it's been disheartening to see a full softball stadium while our overachieving baseball team plays to a crowd of 200.

He had a #1 and #2 national seed the last two years, and still couldn't make the title game. 7 WCWS appearances and only made it into the winner's bracket once.

No shite. Softball got more thrown its way than baseball lately. And turns his back on the program just like that.

Hate to see him go, but coaching softball can't be that difficult. Hell, he started Dunne every game for years right?
