The NCAA does not do TV bans anymore, Danny used to be plugged in, but times have changed... I agree that Danny lost some credibility with that statement...

Also ALWAYS remember that Danny Sheridan is a HUGE Bama fan..

Just because the NCAA hasn't done TV bans since Auburn in 1993 doesn't mean they no longer do them.

I seem to remember Alabama coming very close to getting a TV ban in 2002 after the Albert Means thing broke.

What Ohio State has done is far worse than the Albert Means thing since the abuses span almost 10 years.

His bio from his own site..........

"Danny Sheridan has been involved with sports and the sports promotion business for more than 25 years. He has published college and pro football magazines, written about sports in a variety of national publications, and has been the host of a number of sports TV and radio shows.

A lifelong resident of Mobile, Alabama, and a graduate of the University of Alabama School of Business in 1969 Danny Sheridan is America's leading sports analyst and handicapper and USA TODAY's resident sports analyst both domestically and internationally for over 25 years providing the daily odds for all sporting events. When it comes to sport analysis and sports handicapper Danny is by far the best in the business.

This down home Southern boy loves his football, college football and boxing but when it comes to sports there is no better authority than Danny Sheridan which is best evident is his testimony of before the Senate Commerce Committee Amateur Sports Integrity Act (S. 718).

Danny has written exclusively for USA Today since the paper’s inception in 1982. For USA Today, he sets the daily odds on every sport along with political and esoteric odds – for example, will Alan Greenspan lower the interest rate, and if so, by how much?

His sports and political predictions have appeared on all 3 Networks ABC, CBS, & NBC; also ESPN, CNN, WTBS, & CNBC, and nearly every major newspaper and radio station in the United States. Danny is not just a sports analyst but friends with many high profile college and NFL coaches as well as many NFL and NBA owners. "
