SEC towns and MLB team allegiances

Figured since baseball started I'd see what MLB teams each SEC town/area supports (someone did this for NFL teams last fall). Here's my guesses. And don't say freakin Yankees or Red Sox, bandwagon teams don't count.
Alabama- Braves
Arkansas- Cardinals
Auburn- Braves
LSU- Astros or Braves?
Ole Miss- Braves
Mississippi St- Braves
Florida- Braves, Marlins or Rays?
Georgia- Braves
Kentucky- Reds or Braves?
South Carolina- Braves
Tennessee- Braves
Vandy- Braves
Alabama- Braves
Arkansas- Cardinals
Auburn- Braves
LSU- Astros or Braves?
Ole Miss- Braves

Braves dominate SEC country.
The next closest MLB team to north Alabama = St Louis Cardinals.

NWArk is mostly Cardinal fans, in fact I'd say as a whole the state of Arkansas favors the Cards over the Braves.

Kentucky is the Reds. Florida is the Yankees because there are so many New York transplants who live in that area. I have no idea about the rest.

Arkansas is not Braves country. More Cubs fans than Braves fans here IMO.
Like Latarian said, Cardinals are the team in Arkansas.

why doesn't NW Arkansas like the Royals? Seems a lot closer.

I would think LSU would be the Astros due to proximity.

They would if one team wasn't head and shoulders better than the other throughout their entire existence (except 85- FU denkinger).
Also KMOX out of St. Louis used to have a massive signal that pretty much covered the state long before the Royals were around. Same reason the Cards are big in Oklahoma, KS, Neb, IA and even west Kent and Tenn.

I grew up a Braves fan in Baton Rouge because of TBS. I think a majority don't care about MLB, followed by Astros fans, then Braves fans, then Cubs fans. This is why LSU baseball does so well in LA.

Louisiana is linked to Houston because of the Oil business...so i would go with Astro's.

the Braves are the only out of state team I have ever liked. I grew up with them (before the rays came to Florida), and have always been a Braves fan. Now that the Rays are here, I'm torn and root for both. If the Rays and Braves were to make it to the World Series, I don't know who I'd root for.
And I absolutely hate the Marlins, Hurricanes, Dolphins, Heat, etc....can't stand any cryami team
