ETA: He's a good bit taller than any of the other WRs we signed last year, right?

AND combine it with the fact that nutt is really going to open up the offense next year, DGB could get 12-15 catches by his junior year.

I see what you're saying, I get it. yar yar yar Nutt nevar threw tha bawl and just ran it all thu tyime yar yar. I get it.

What you need to understand is 2 things:

1.In Nutt's 2nd year (2009) we had our first 1000 yard receiver in Shay Hodge.

2. We have brought on a great wr coach and a new coordinator.

Now, I also get that Arky fans wanted Nutt to give up playcalling for a long time, were told he would, then there would be bullshite drama with Hootie callin the plays at the end of the day. Yeah, I'd be lying if I said this wasn't a worry but I really want to believe that he realizes he has to give it up.

He's not working under Uncle Franky anymore and I think he has realized this. Also, with him and Lee being friends I have a hard time believing Lee would come here unless he had playcalling responsibilities. He knows HDN, I would be willing to bet that was a stipulation when talking of coming here.

I am just gonna wait and see on sept 5.

I don't even think Bama has been mentioned in any of his interviews recently.

Why would Nutt, after being in the SEC for 13+ seasons, all of the sudden relinquish playcalling duties to someone else?

If he'd swallow his pride and truly let someone else take the offensive reigns, he'd go from being a good to a great coach.

Because Pete Boone will actually fire his arse where Frank would do nothing of the sort.

Hopefully you pull this one in. Too bad about his brother though. Seems like a good kid to have on your team

If his brother's medical condition is the determining factor, then he's a Houston Cougar lock. And I wouldn't blame him one bit. Family does come first.

I don't, that's just what I have been told by OM folks.

He obviously said something to Nutt though that worried him enough to make him bring in someone to call the plays again.

I still don't believe Lee will have full control of the offense at the end of the day. He runs Nutt's offense anyways so no one will be able to tell the difference regardless but I highly doubt he is going to call them himself. I suspect they will go the old run game coordinator/pass game coordinator route with the called play going through Nutt for approval on the way to the huddle.

I fully understand this could happen and also understand that you Hog fans went through this many many times before with HDN. I just hope that this different situation produces different results when it comes to Nutt calling plays.

Again, I am going to wait and see.

I wish this sentence didn't give me a boner and heartburn all at once.

I love the fact that PB would fire Nutt if it came down to it (read: is economically feasible), but the fact that Pete Boone can't even spell the phrase "coaching search" scares the dog shite out of me.

What ever happens, 2011 is gonna be entertaining.
