I think they affected the outcome, but I don't think they are the sole reason we lost. I'm more pissed about them giving Grant a technical than any other call.

When a coach comes on to the court and calls a ref a stupid sob......that typically ends up being a technical....sorry

He was being stupid and I'm sure his mother is a bitch. Grant was only telling the truth

ETA: you let that shite go when it's under 3 minutes in a close game.

Not after you have already given the bench a warning.

This. But I give Kennedy credit. 50% of basketball is noticing how the refs are calling the game and then adjusting your play to match it. Kennedy saw where the refs were whistling a lot on basket drives and adjusted. He put the ball in his 95% FT shooters hands and told him to drive every play. It worked. Then Grant picks the worst time ever to become an emotional person and game over.

Says the casual observer.

A good ref lets that go. It's really that simple.

That was in the first half. Don't act like he had just given him the warning 5 minutes prior.

So if AK did that instead of Grant would you still say it shouldn't be called under 2mins?

I don't think a technical should be called on any coach in a close game with two minutes to go unless he bumps a ref or throws something on to the court. No matter what he says, the ref needs to let it go and not let his call influence the game moreso than all his other calls put together.

I'm pretty positive that wouldn't be what you would say if it happened to AK instead.I'm sorry, but as many times as he was yelling during that game, a technical was warranted, no matter what time it was.

bullshite.

Under NO circumstances is it ok for a coach to cuss out a ref.

34 free throws to 16. Hard to win when games are officiated like that.

bitch about it all you want......but Bama got some BS calls the first part of the second have as well.

Tenacious defenses are typically going to foul you more.

First time I've actually heard a legit defense for the foul shooting descrepancy. I remember talking to you in the first matchup thread and I told you y'all would beat us cause the calls would flip flop. We got some calls at home in the first matchup. Just more frustrating when they go against your team. Yeah I will admit it

Very well said and I do remember that very well. You do get some calls at home that you wouldn't get away. I'm sure you feel as I do that they should be called the same either way.

But like I said, tenacious defenses provide more opportunities to foul that just a soft zone like we played most times this game.

I was at the game. The refs had tight whistles the entire game. Both teams were in the bonus with 13 min left in the second half. Warren did a good job driving the ball knowing he is a great Free throw shooter but don't act like the refs were tight on you and not on us because both teams had a shite ton of fouls.

On the play that Grant got the tech, it was a foul on the driver (Not sure who it was) and it should have been called and I understand his frustration but he had already been given the been warning and Warren missed 1 of the free throws any way. It only cost yall 1 point.

The TO grant was given on the loose ball was a terrible call. The ball was rolling on the floor away from everyone when he called for the TO, but the only difference was there was a missed shot and we got the rebound so it didn't matter that much.

Over all it was a well played game by both teams and very exciting. I just wish we hadn't of choked against MSU and USCe.
