How long does it take to build parking garages, bc shouldn't they begin contruction soon? especially as long as it takes to get shite built in baton rouge. and yes, we need an additional suites section in the south endzone, a must.

LSU needs more suites and I'd love to see another 10-12k seats added on.

We need it, I just don't think it is possible with the structure of the stadium. Only thing would be mirroring the skyboxes on the student side of the stadium. I think anything else you would be sitting in the clouds.

Is this pic as is now, or a rendering?

East and west hover decks.
Expand Bama sideline to accomodate the over-signees.

If LSU adds 10k-12k seats to Tiger Stadium, my God...that place will be ridiculous.

Actual pic of the stadium, but the south endzone upperdeck is photoshopped in. Here is what it looks like right now:
Here are some other renderings of what it could possibly look like in the future with South Endzone enclosed with an upper deck (these are photoshop fan renderings):

The first high rise parking garage on campus is set to open early in 2012. It'll be across from the Union, in place of the old Highland Dining Hall.

LSU is expected to begin construction on its first parking garage by the beginning of February, university officials said. The 750-car, five-floor parking facility will be built on Raphael Semmes Road by Highland Road across the street from the LSU Student Union in the middle of campus.
LSU to get five levels of parking

We were talking about this same subject in this thread:
LSU may switch to field turf to accomidate stadium expansion, what will Les do?
And I posted I believed that any future expansion in Tiger Stadium's South End Zone would look more like what North Carolina is building:
..and end up being more of a clubhouse featuring new endzone suites. LSU will look to maximize it's dollars here, by catering to the demand for luxury suites. Remember, suites are paid for on a yearly basis whether they are used or not, unlike regular stadium seating.
As it is, Tiger Stadium suites rarely come on the market. And the waiting list is several years long. In fact, no one has let their lease expire on a Tiger Stadium suite since 2000.
BTW that is the proposed renovations to UNC's Kenan Memorial Stadium. Notice the open patios to either side of the main structure.

I'd like to see us add more suites and work on making the stadium nicer, but no real need to make it larger IMO.

Ours should be expanded but not by a whole lot as far as capacity goes. We can enclose our north endzone without upping the capacity by a lot, since there are already temporary bleachers there. The focus will be on suites and the overall appearance of the stadium, which is of course needed as well.
