Frankly, I'm interested more than concerned. I watched every one of Auburn's SEC games this year. Cam Newton is a beast. There's no getting around that. But his supporting cast is only good, not great. Auburn has no skill position players that would start at Oregon (besides #2 of course) and their special teams are nothing to write home about.
Oregon will get that arse spunk

so what, arkansas has the best collection of skill players in the SEC, the receiving core and RB core are pretty god damn talented, however our OLINE was just good not great. Auburn has the best lines in the SEC and thats why they won it and will win the MNC

This guy has not watched an AU game this year. Our KO and Punt Coverage has been phenominal all yeasr. We have one of the best kickers in the nation.
The race between Craig Sanders and D. McNiel will happen a lot that game.

You've got to give Chizik credit for bringing Boulware for Iowa State. I was skeptical about bringing anything from 5-19 land to Auburn, but damn he's the best special teams coach in the SEC.

Do the Oregon ducks realize they don't have an A.J. Green, Jeffery, Jones, or Childs at Wide Receiver? Auburn gave up their biggest passing yards from teams that had top wide receivers.

I love these kinds of threads. You do realize that people have been posting equally ridiculous things about Oregon on this board all season, right? This happens on all sports message boards.

Oregon's strength of schedule is 68,Auburn was around 4. The second best team they beat was Arizona, who had 5 loses. Stanford was the best they beat. Auburn will win this game by 17 or more. It will be a good game for a half and the tigers will pull away to an easy victory.

They don't have that level of talent but their receivers are very good college receivers.

First off, many of you should take a deep breath about this game. There is really no way of knowing which way this game will go. I realize most of you are just a bunch of SEC homers, but still...
Since AU's games against teams from other conferences do not significantly overlap with Oregon or PAC-10 teams, we can only speculate, about as well as who would win in a fight between Spider-man and Green Lantern.
Fact is, Oregon's offense has been unstoppable this year. You cannot judge AU's ability to stop them on ONE GAME where Cal did a decent job. Cal sucked this year. Anyone who watched Boise St. lose to Nevada should know any team can have a bad day/not play well/give up for a half (remember AU/ Alabama? Who was the better team there?). That's pretty much like saying Oregon will crush AU because they have no defense since they gave up 332 yards passing to Arkansas back-up.
Will this game be like USC-Texas 2005, where there were 2 unstoppable offenses, one unstoppable player, and it just comes down to who has the ball last; or more like USC-Oklahoma the previous year where one team is more physical and the media loves them (calls them the best CF team of all time) vs a team that just waxes its opponents by 20-30 ppts/game?
I think Oregon is more balanced and has a better offense than any team in the SEC, and AU cannot count on coming back from 24 ppts down (or even 14). Similarly AU is more physical than any PAC-10 team with Cam Netwon, who's in his own planet when it comes to talent.
I think this game is a toss-up.
/PS Don't knock ASU. They are young, but a very talented team. By all accounts they should have beaten Wisconsin at Wisconsin this year, and only lost it with missing a gimmie FG and then lost a chance to tie with time running out by missing an extra point

It was good enough to beat 13 teams

That dog won't hunt. It's like a Bama fan bragging on how they dominated Auburn in the first half of the Iron Bowl.

Me too. I am a PAC 10 guy but I am rooting for Auburn. It's win win for me. If AU wins, my favorite SEC team gets a ring, and if they lose, then the PAC 10 puts another SEC notch in its belt.
That said,
WAR DAMN EAGLE

WTF does that mean? That would only mean something if Oregon had lost a game. Oregon was far better than any team they faced this year, including Stanford, who's as good as anyone in the nation this year. AU almost lost/ lucky to survive like 4 games this year. You sound like a BCS broken record. You can't use the argument of why AU deserves to go to the NCG to explian why you think they will win it.
...And please refer to Alabama vs. Utah 2009 as a reference on how strength of schedule can help you figure out an undefeated team.

Down South, you know what we call those games?
Wins.
Everyone knows what AU can do in close games or in games where they are behind. What can Oregon do if that happens?
