It doesn't mean I can't hope something changes that between now and NSD.

The list of replacement candidates seems to be:
Randy Shannon

Slightly off-topic, but I've been hearing rumors about scandal about to break in Texass country. Anyone care to enlighten me?

Moving on to some bad news for the program as a whole. The word we received is that an influential newspaper will be breaking a story that we’ve been sitting on since back in October. Of course we’ve given you snippets and hinted at the Gloria Allred v. Cleve Bryant fiasco, but it runs a lot deeper and has done more damage to the program than we’ve let on. To give you taste of what’s about to hit, we’ve heard over the last few months that players have been interviewed and surveyed by lawyer types all season and it’s been a distraction. Questions about illegal inducements, escorts, harassment of coeds, etc. have been pointed to players all season in some shape or form by legal eagles, and the effect on the team is obvious.
We haven’t heard that any players have been dragged into the ongoing mess other than initial interviews, but the administration is a different story. And the investigation nor airing of dirty laundry isn’t done by a longshot. It’s not fair to the vast majority of the program because in reality we heard it was just a couple of guys who made really poor decisions. But it could end up being a black stain on a program that’s already sucking wind and licking its wounds from 5-7.

Regardless, it’s going to get ugly. Might want to just take a vacation, we’ll keep you posted on Twitter @Recruitocosm and check back in January.

You have to wonder why Mack didn’t step down after 5-7 and this scandal brewing. Either he’s lost his golden touch or underestimated Bellmont’s ability to handle things quietly, but this could fall back on Mack if it comes to light he overlooked some illicit activities to cover for an old friend.

There’s a reason it looks like Mack Brown has aged 5 years in 2010 alone and this is a big part of it. It has the chance to get Clint Eastwood Gran Torino ugly

Would seem that is no longer the case. I would wager Kiffin changed that perception of UT for a long time to come.
Flame fail? Kiffin caught a lot of crap for that. It's not like he left Michigan State.

If we could get Lupoi I'd be fine letting CCS go.
