Dan didn't invent UF's offense, but he also didn't teach any of it to Addazio on his way out the door. . . .

Apparently, Dan invented Florida's offense. Look what it's done since he left. Maybe the Miami guy that spelled Petersen's name incorrectly once again, was mistaken.

CUM's offense was modified mid-season his 1st year by Mullen to somehow lessen the impact the advantage speed gave SEC defense against the mis-direction and counter type design concentrated in CUM's offense. That's when a 2nd back or pulling linemen was added to give the offense power running scheme. Tebow as a power runner was what gave that offense it's greatest success, much like Newton gave Gus in AU's design.

Last year the numbers started to fall off because of O Line depth, and this year's abysmal performance was even worse because of no power game at all.

Kidding or not, true story. In 2005, right after the LSU game, they spent an entire Sunday starting before sunrise on how to counteract the speed of the SEC defenses, especially DE's and LB's. He 1st encountered it against Bama, but the kicker was with Pelini's scheme.

True Story. FO' Reehel. His post game interview that night was telling.

If I were a booster at a former college football powerhouse and I asked a coach to interview and he wanted to listen to what poor little state had to say first, i would probably say he was too arrogant too.

Miami is full of shite. They would love to have Dan as their coach.

So, Miami is willing to admit that Gruden, Peterson, and Pelini were not interested, but they are unwilling to admit that about Mullen?

he may be an arrogant a-hole, but he is our arrogant a-hole.

eta dude probably went into the interview and knowing he is a hot commodity and wasn't going to go for chump change. I am sure they offered him a lower rate than what other canidates were being offered and mullen wouldn't budge on his askng price. Trustee then got all butthurt that he couldn't get ol' mullens for a steal.

Miami hates Nick Saban too, so maybe hate from Miami is the ticket to success.

I love the Toddy Bears and other schools throwing this around. He is also 5-1 vs the East.

Bottom line, you have a guy that has come in and taken over a program that had won 21 games total the 5 years before he got there. 21 wins total in 5 years.

And now they are playing on New Years Day- and next years team will be even better.

No, he will become a legend when we go to another NYD bowl next season after beating the Toddy Bears for the 3rd straight time and 4th time in 5 years.

17 starters returning, 2010 recruiting class all RS'ed but 2, and a top 20 recruiting class this Febuary

You know whats up Bear- and it scares you

"Miami hates Nick Saban too, so maybe hate from Miami is the ticket to success."

Or maybe Miami is the most overrated city in America. Spent some time down there and was totally underwhelmed. Miami area people are the ones with massive egos. They think every coach and person for that matter would cut off all their arms and legs to live and work there and that's just not the case. One prominent coach hated it there and took a pay cut to get out. Another coach turned down equal or better money to stay at MSU.

a big ego is the sign of a man in charge. that's nothing but a compliment if i'm a MSU/Mullen fan.

good for him. hard to hate mullen.

Al Golden is still a great pick I think for all the schools out there looking for coaches this year. I thought for sure he'd end up at Penn State after JoePa.

This one I dont understand...

He would rather stay at a lower level school playing nobody with no chance at winning a NC?

In Boise Idaho?? WTF?

You're a pretty typical sidewalk dumbass State fan who only cares about Beating Ole Miss. Starkville is a shitty fricking place and you're all dumber for having spent more than three or four days at a time there.

I can troll to, brah.

his son has cancer, so he doesn't want to move his family. on top of that, the city's been really supportive and has embraced him. seems like Petersen has his priorities straight, and money isn't at the top.
