re: Can your QB dunk?

I'd guess that three of our four qbs can dunk. I'd guess Favre can't, but you never know.

I'm guessing neither he nor Henig nor Tyson Lee could touch the net with a trampoline.

Damn, it's depressing thinking about past QBs at MSU. :yack:

re: Jack Cristil's Farewell Address

I'll never forget my freshman year taking a leak at the Hump before a game and Jack bellies up next to me at the urinal with a Camel Light hanging off his lip. He says "How are you doing young man?" It was like somebody came down off of MSU's Mount Rushmore to grab a quick cig before the game and piss next to me. I was speechless.

Cornerbacks = side backs

Anytime there was a kick in basketball, "He kicks it soccer style"

Phrases such as "Doesn't stand a Chinaman's chance"

I'm going to miss Jack. Hopefully Matt Wyatt and Shane Power step in to color roles and Jim Ellis moves over to full-time play-by-play man.

re: SEC W/L records since expansion

How come MSU has one more SEC game than everybody else? Did we play 9 conference games one year?

Pretty sure our record should be 55-95-2 instead. :doublebird:
Did he not sign? Grades? Juco? Prep school? Greyshirt?

This story would have been much cooler if it had started like this.

Dan Mullen tweet say:

CoachDanMullen: Dawgs 69 TSUN 64. Congrats hoops team. The streak lives on

Does the '41 Orange Bowl count? You know the one where MSU went undefeated and beat Bama, yet the Tide claim a national championship from that year?

/I got nothin'
quote:

Ole Miss - 330 passing attempts
MSU - 288 passing attempts (67 were thrown by Russell)

I would think a lot of that had to do with Ole Miss trailing in most of their games and MSU salting away leads in most of theirs.

because us mississippians who chose to attend Ole Miss wanted to get outside our bumville circle of friends and grew tired of a nightlife that consists of seeing what is going on at the jitney jungle parking lot.

Also most male mississippians are intimidated by a sea of hot chicks who aren't impressed with how loud your muffler is or how good you are at getting your boys truck out of a mud hole.

I laughed at this. Nice work, colonialingus.

Nice run-on sentence, dubmass.

/I realize this is a sentence fragment.
//I also realize I spelled "dumbass" wrong.
///You are still a dubmass who brings shame to his University with your grammatical shortcomings.
quote:

thanks for playing. by now....

By now what? Were you expecting something to happen?

Wait, did you mean a dismissive "Bye, now"?

If ever there was a thread to insert grammar smack, this is it.

Your and idiot. Dubmass.

re: OM loses two Florida DB commitments

Holliman was one of the top safeties in the nation and was a four star on scout and rivals, while Johnson is a 4 star on rivals and 3 star on scout. We were kind of expecting this, but it hurts us badly with the DB help we need. Holliman would have probably been in the safety rotation next year. Like I said I was expecting this but thought they were going to sign with a big time program, but it looks like they're going to sign with either Louisville or West Virgina. Will announce which one tomorrow at 1pm LINK

No big loss considering Whitehead and Brassell are Rebel locks.
quote:

MSU has a glut of DBs, Ole Miss is just incompetent. You should be more surprised that AU or Bama didn't offer. Usually it's MSU/AU/Bama offer OB kids.

I'm encouraged to see Brassell, Fosselman, CJ and Maiden getting some love. Hopefully MSU can close with Singleton, PJ Jones and maybe flip Morris. That and keep the guys we have now.
So Mullen has too much swagga for da U?

ETA: What, no minority candidates?
You do realize if Cecil Newton doesn't get involved, MSU would have been in the SEC Championship Game, right?
Archie is doing well according to coaches and practice reports. He is up to about 275 now and will compete this spring for the LT job. He hurt his shoulder (I think) about a month ago, so he is missing some valuable practice time, but I am looking forward to him being a difference maker. We have a very good OL coach and strength/conditioning coach who will have him ready to go when it is his time.

Universities give opponents their share of tickets and they distribute them as they see put. Opponents determine where in the stadium the band sits, not the home team.

Did he blow you off? Why would you stop recruiting him? He's done great this year

Don't know about him blowing us off, but he hasn't really been a topic of conversation for MSU fans and/or recruiting analysts since the summer.

Our big three D-Line targets are PJ Jones of Tupelo, a GA kid currently committed to Kentucky and a JUCO currently committed to Okie State.
