I think he stays. I think we lose him after next season though if we have a good year

Someone he's familiar with. I wouldn't be surprised if he named Duane Akina the DC, or even came after another Alabama assistant.

he could just be waiting until after NSD, although that seems unlikely.... we'll see.

That won't be happening. Muschamp is going to want to put a staff together now for recruiting purposes. The only way someone leaves after NSD is if they're going to the NFL.

it could happen if Smart respects Saban, which he probably does... I could see Muschamp holding off until after NSD to announce a DC hire. It's about the only spot he can afford to wait on... no one should question his ability to coach defense.

Logically speaking why should Smart Leave?
Alabama can match Florida money.
The move would be less than lateral, given the relative strengths of the two teams now.

With JJones being involved this isn't too big of a stretch. On the other hand with JJones being involved it's also a big stretch.
