i'll buy into Petrino and Arkansas a little more if the success continues without Mallet..

Time will tell but when did you know a Petrino coached team not have good/great QB play? We have some very talented QBs waiting in the wings.

There's not a player on that team that hasn't improved year to year under Petrino.

That guy seriously has the downs. Seriously when he goes for an extra point I get nervous.

ETA: Seriously

i'm not sure what happened to him but he acts like a trauma victim, hell he has even regressed this year, he went from kicking it into the endzone most of the time back to his at the 10 yardline bullshite.

Its amazing to think that he was on the All-SEC Freshman team back in the day. Hopefully Hocker doesn't go down that same path.

He admitted himself that he didn't take the job serious enough last year, and maybe he is reverting back to that since his role has diminished.

i think you guys will win an SEC title with Petrino.. but the bar is set a little higher for SEC teams right now.. looking at 5 straight national titles..

Ummmmm... yeah, that pretty much means national title these days doesn't it? You win the SEC championship, then you win the next game.

I almost didn't watch the 2nd win after going 1-10... Happy I did.

SLC, I'll ante up by saying I've never been more optimistic about the football program ...not in the past few decades anyway.

Since Petrino flew the coop at Louisville before the ink dried on his extension he just signed, and since he redirected the Atlanta Falcons team flight after the Monday Night Football game against the Saints directly to Fayetville, I would feel comfortable he is committed to be a Hog.

Tejada has made nine tackles for our shitty kickoff unit, give the guy a damn break. He sucks as a place kicker but has saved at least 3 TDs this year.

He signed an extension at Louisville too.....just before he left.

Contracts mean nothing.

did he specifically ask for a $6MM buyout from Louisville? Because this time he is the one who actually asked the administration to increase the buyout. That should tell you something (as it's intended to).

If he would kick it 7 yards deep in the end zone consistently he wouldn't have to make those tackles. Frick Tejada, I am glad his head case arse is gone!

oh come on. he missed a few clutch shots, but he was more than solid last season. and what kicker in the nation gets it 7 yds deep every kickoff?

i like tejada. he's taken a lot of shite, but he seems like a good kid and he's persevered through all of the hate from our own fans.

He is a fine young man who I am proud is graduating with a useful degree, but when I am watching the Hogs play I don't give 2 rats' asses about what they do or don't do except for what they show me on that field! He didn't get the job done.

then put it on the coaching staff just as much as Tejada. He's out there because he's the best we have. i just think he's unfairly being singled out because of a few high profile screw-ups.

More often than not he was putting the ball within the 5. i think i even saw a few players catch the ball a yard or two deep and decide to run it back anyways. opponent's starting position usually had more to do with shitty coverage than Tejada. at least he could take an angle and tackle better than some of the "gunners" we had out there.

You of all people should be glad he is far from Kentucky. Good luck with that Joker you have... pun intended.
