It was like a dying man's request to get ribbon boards in the football stadium last year. UK needed a recruiting room much more than ribbons screens :rolleyes:

UK bonded 800 million on the hospital within the last couple of years and bonding capacity is maxed out currently.
When push comes to shove, the hospital brings in more dinero to UK than athletics does.

What difference would less seats in Rupp Arena make? The university is after the revenue the luxury boxes would create. Since the city of Lexington owns Rupp UK doesn't control all of the revenue basketball generates there.
And facility upgrade is where UK is falling behind. Because Barnhart isn't schmoozing the corporate community. I think had had all his eggs in the IMG marketing basket....fail.
