Faking injuries so as not to be upstaged. Yep, that's what Cam was doing after McElroy went down.
Oh how dramatic and theatrical it is to see Cam writhing on the ground in pain one minute, only to see him leap up, make a big play on the next series, then go scampering back to the line of scrimmage, grinning like a 'possum, only to repeat the performance all the way to the end-zone. (wow! what a competitor!)
That there is vintage Serena Williams, tennis player extraordinaire and toast of Paris!
Both have a penchant for blowing kisses to their dimwitted adoring fans.
Both have shake-down artist daddies.
Both have beady eyes and bubble butts....
Cam should make the transformation complete by growing out his hair, stringing it with some multi-colored beads, then show up at the SECCG in some vinyl wonder-woman hip boots and an "I Luv Me" T-shirt. lol!
But I do credit Cam for not threatening the officials with physical violence (yet) for ruling against him the way Serena has in the past.

Yea, what the frick was he doing the plays after McElroy got hurt? I thought he actually was hurt a couple times becuause he was taking so long to get up, just laying there not moving for a good ten seconds after the play. It was odd.

Marcel Dareus' fat useless arse stepped on his ankle accidentally when getting up. It's amazing there is still bone there.

Actually, Cam has done this every game when running out the clock in the 4th quarter. I don't understand why, but he always does it. So he wasn't trying upstage McElroy.

me and my friends thought the same thing. he would literally lay there for several seconds not moving then pop up and run back to the huddle. the kid is a little strange.

He was clearly trying to kill the clock....

It's just an emphasis on ball security on late running plays. Anytime there's someone on top of him or around him after the play is over he waits to make sure they're up before he gets up.
Yes, it's strange.

It's been said that Gus told Cam to lay there for a second or two to insure everyone is up and he doesn't get a pointless injury....plus it wastes a second or 2. It does look extremely odd though

Refs should stop the clock like they did yesterday.

Unreal no one is smart enough to realize what he is doing.
I probably shouldn't say anything, but it has been obvious to me for several weeks.
He is milking an extra 2-3 seconds off the clock. He lays there with the ball for a couple of seconds. Gets up hands the ball to the ref to set it and start the play clock. Kills 2-3 seconds every time.
Duhhhhhhh......

I was going to somehow use this Beavis and Butthead quote (paraphrased) but the part in bold does not fit:
"My mom's not a whore, she's a slut. She doesn't charge anything."

But it doesn't kill the game clock, which is generally the most important.
