What the hell is taking so long? I mean, if there was an admission of asking for benefits by a family member, that should be the end of story there right?

Not if there is more to the story.

see Reggie Bush case.

I don't care how unprecedented this situation is, the NCAA does not work fast. And honestly, for good reason. They get all the info, do all the investigating, and then come back with a ruling ... they don't want to unjustly penalalize a kid/school, and I can understand that.

Yeah, Reggie's case was settled quickly... just around 7 years.

Dude tell me you've not pinned your hopes for Atlanta on a speedy ruling that you'd favor by the NCAA.

Here's the thing. The NCAA doesn't have to know every detail to declare Cam ineligible. If they have reason to believe he broke NCAA rules, they can suspend him or rule him ineligible and continue the rest of the investigation deeper to determine other punishments and rule violations.

That is something people want to ignore. This doesn't have to wrap up in a tidy little pink bow before anything of substance has to happen.

no, I know how they like to take their time, but all of the evidence is supposedly laid down in front of them and they are going to run around with their finger up their arse until January and screw us when the evidence is clear, this is bull to the other teams in the west who are going to only remember what could have been. It is different. This case is cut and dry, go after the big fish after you fix what is right

Is there any other way for LSU to get there this year?

Now, do I really think there's a chance this will happen? Hell no...I'd be absolutely shocked if Auburn isn't playing in the SECCG.

I think the NCAA wants Auburn to finish 13-0 before making a ruling here. Denying unbeaten Auburn a shot at the national title is one of college football's funniest traditions.

That's precious...fans hoping and praying for a championship game bid by default. Shoulda won it on the field frickers. The money you all think Cam made didn't make him a better player. He fricking stomped LSU's arse...y'all don't deserve a trip to Atlanta.

Uh, because this isn't the same as firing the night manager at Taco Bell for not restocking the hot sauce.

Do you have a clue just how insightful that is? And yet, it will go unnoticed by the great unwashed masses here.

You're right, but it did make him an ineligible player. And because of that, for the 3rd time in 16 years, Auburn is going to have one of the best, if not the best, teams in college football with nothing to show for it.
