LSU and Winning the West

At this point who all thinks LSU wins the West (other than LSU fans)? I'm getting the impression that most think the Iron Bowl will decide how the West is won.

the winner of LSU/AU will have a HUGE advantage in the west.... not saying Alabama can't do it, but traveling to LSU will be tough, especially with the struggles offensively.

Way too much football left to tell. AU vs. OM/UGA and LSU vs. OM/Ark could be trap games.

Too hard to predict. All three contenders are good teams, but all 3 have MAJOR weaknesses, which can be exploited.

I think its hard for the last game of a season (Ark) to be a trap game, unless a team has already won its division.
I think all three teams are still in the race come the last week. What a weekend of football that would be!

UNC- Overrated
Vandy- Bad
MSU- Mediocre
WVU- Overrated
UT- Bad
UF- Bad/Overrated/All of the above
McNeese State- Bad
They haven't played a quality opponent yet. If they beat AU, I will put a ton of stock into them. If they beat AU, I'm picking them to win the west. If they would go Jarrett Lee full time, they would win the West.

Unfortunately, while I think the West is the best conference in the country, I don't think there is a complete team in the SEC this year. Last year, Bama had an excellent defense and a ball control offense. Florida had a great defense and very good offense with a ton of talent.
This year, LSU is all about the defense but sputters on offense but has the talent to be very good on offense. Auburn and Arkansas both have fantastic offenses but lack a lot on defense. Bama is just out of sync right now as is Florida. UGA and South Carolina are playing very good ball right now but could shite the bed again.
As of now, Bama, LSU and Auburn are all three very much in it and it could come to the end of the season to be determined.

Likewise, Auburn will not be welcome in TTown. And if I were you, I wouldn't expect to see a struggling offense from Bama. You should expect hell on wheels from Bama's D though.

doesn't matter what anyone thinks. it's not an election. winner of this weeks au/lsu matchup is in the drivers seat. even the loser can best bama.

I'll trash the schedule rankings given to us by mathmatical formulas and use your word ranking of our schedule from now on. Our schedule sucks. Hopefully we'll be able to convince gatordmb89 this weekend, but let's be honest. If we beat Auburn and they lose another game against Alabama, then my fellow poster here will just put "overrated" behind their name and our schedule will suck again.

Dude, anyone that watches football, would tell you the same thing about the teams above. None of them are good football teams. Sorry if it hurts your feelings. The meat of your schedule is late in the year, Auburn, Alabama, and Arkansas. All those teams are good football teams. Sorry I'm not anointing LSU the best football team in the West until they prove themselves against a good team.
